Hi Pina,

I think Globalization is brilliant something powerful that everyone benefits and continues to grow. Are there losers or winners in globalization? Indeed, there are losers and winners in existence and continues to advance globally. For example, if we all take a glance inside our closets and wardrobe our garments tags name their location of manufacturing and even the year it was manufactured. We all sometimes do not acknowledge or realize how even our clothes, cars, and food, are contrived globally. Several products are labeled made in China, India, Germany, and Indonesia. Furthermore, China ranks as the 1st largest country for manufacturing and production. Therefore, no matter which way we analyze globalization it will continue to

    For some people, globalization is so feared it is synonymous with world destruction. In the end, for all we know, maybe this will be proven before it is over. In reality however, there are many good things that have resulted from globalization(1, Premise). Let’s for a moment focus on the economy, even though there are many other advantages that have been brought forward that will also be discussed. Many Americans do not appreciate how efficient our markets are, in this case efficiency in reference to supply and demand is number one. These efficient markets allow economies to grow. As many have learned in a global world, when one economy grows, it spurs growth in all the other economies that are connected to it. In this way, reverberations of success are felt across the world, even when they are most profound in one area. Needless to say, this is a very good thing. This is partially a result of what I just mentioned, but wealth equality around the world goes much deeper than that. Perhaps a better phrase than wealth equality is “standard of living.” Globalization does several things that are undeniable at the end of the day. First and foremost for one it creates jobs, which is a priority to the economic success of any market(2, Premise). Along with job creation it improves infrastructure while it also allows more people to live at a higher global level every day. Mainly regular access to medicine, clean water, food production, housing, etc., things we take for granted here in the United States. Many if not most third world countries do not share these same day to day things we categorize as necessities. Things they would refer to as luxuries. Globalization results in partnerships between countries and organizations, which in turn could help bring these countries along in many of these areas.     China has become an imperative actor in the global market since 1978. Through economic change and progression, China has become the world’s fastest, expanding major economy as the largest exporter and second larger importer of goods. In the economic world, China is known as the “super power” of the world market. As the economy of China has grown and prospered, the country of China has failed to acknowledge the nourishment and inter-connected relationship of the entire population as a whole within its recent boom of wealth. Because China is so focused on strengthening ties with Western world, the Chinese government disregards the maintenance and economic-well being of the general population. China has become more powerful in global market, and government begins to disregard the socio-economic lifestyle of population mass, which causes a growing inequality between educated urban professionals and rural/urban working class. Thus, in China, economic growth is not correlated with social growth—“haves” are becoming richer and “have-nots” are becoming poorer. The Chinese government facilitates this viscous cycle of poverty by implementing policies and restrictions, which essentially prevent the working class from moving forward and participating in recent economic growth. The restriction of rural-urban migration has facilitated the widening income divide between rural-workers and urban professionals. As urban professionals become wealthier at a fast pace, rural workers are forced to stay back, which limits opportunities for poor to participate within the financial growth of their own country. China has become the “super power” of world market when they entered the World Trade Organization by the relocation of transnational corporations from all over the world to China. In order to keep up with TNC’s high-demand for production and perpetuate economical wealth within China, the government began to utilize workers in rural areas as migrant-factory laborers in urban China.…
