This also includes illegal acts. Fans stick up for their teams, no matter what; Such as believing anything they hear and only showing what they want seen. Which isn’t always the best idea. In SB Nation’s article, by Mike Rutherford, he explains how the Tar Heels sports teams are avoiding trouble by claiming that these “GPA booster” courses were offered to all students- not just athletes. Therefore, not getting the sports teams in as much trouble. This quotes explains deeper, “This was a scam that all students benefited from, not just the athletes enrolled in the classes. There was also significant evidence that the students enrolled in these classes at least had to turn in something before being awarded a grade…” (Par 5). Wow, is honestly all that comes into my head. My love and interest in Houston's sports teams has given me a means of identifying with my beloved hometown. Until recently I had no idea how to connect myself with the city and the millions of other Houstonians that inhabited Houston. I then discovered the cities sports teams the Texans, Rockets, and Astros which many of the cities locals love and support endlessly. Ever since discovering these teams I have become a ferocious supporters of them win or lose. I support them no matter without any conditions I do it because I want to and because I love them. Whether I am cheering from my couch at home, a booth at a restaurant, or in the stands with other loyal followers I'm not shy of showing that the team on the field or the court are my teams. My loyalty to them has no end no matter if they squeaked past an opponent or got utterly humiliated I openly will continue through show my love and passion for something I care about. I have become more passionate about my school work making me more motivated to not just improve my letter grade but also to gain knowledge for the sake of gaining knowledge. My openness to show my support for something that I feel very strongly about I feel has also helped prepare me for my college experience. Interscholastic athletics provide countless benefits to student-athletes, and many beyond giving them stories and memories to share later on in life. There is the basic value that student-athletes have higher graduation rates than those not in athletics (Krings, 2014). However, that alone is not extending education, rather allowing it to occur. Extending, the NIAAA states that 21st century skills such as perseverance, sportsmanship, and collaboration can best be learned through athletics (NIAAA, 2013, p. 32). Athletics can also focus on the whole picture. For example, athletics can get students’ parents engaged through booster clubs or other parent organizations, and can potentially provide substance-abuse assistance to athletes in need.…

Colleges come in all different shapes and sizes. Some are well known with thousands of students, others are more humble with a few hundred students. But almost every college has one thing in common and that’s sports. Nearly all the colleges across america have sports teams. However, there are varying opinions on the role sports play in a student's college life. Some agree that sports are extremely important because they earn money for the school and attract the attention of students. Others think that people are forgetting the academics of the school letting students who play on sports teams get by with just their athletic ability. Although ephemeral, our high school years are the most important. Our grades and education can determine what colleges accept us, and sports scholarships can also play a major role. However, if schools don't have the necessary funding to support students education and sporting programs, it poses a major problem for college acceptance. High school Corporate sponsorship solves this unnecessary conflict. Corporate sponsors give funding to improve school and sports facilities. Admittedly, some people are concerned that corporate funding may defile students education through biased material. This concern is grandly grotesque for corporate funding does not interfere with students education, but in fact offers them a better education through up-date-materials and facilities.…
