What makes someone a hero? A hero is someone who makes mistakes but still puts anything of their own at risk to do something for someone. In The Outsiders, there are three characters that all are heros. Ponyboy, Johnny, and Dallas are the three characters. Johnny seems to fit the most in the definition of a hero.
