Internal Business Process Perspective

Manufacturing excellence

Hermès always put a lot of effort in its manufacturing to make products with excellence. That is why we think that increasing the production of Hermès through the opening of a new factory still in France could bring more quality products.

Quality

Talking about the quality of Hermès, they really emphasizes on that value that makes them always more recognized and appreciated. To measure quality they keep track on their defective products or complaints generated by the customers in order to improve their percentage by a decrease of the number of defective products and complaints.

Improved production methods (reduce carbon footprint)

As the trend shows, every businesses are more and more concerned about their footprint and their impact on environment and Hermès pays also attention to its. This is the reason why they started improving their production methods in order to reduce their water and energy consumption, their waste, as well as recycling their waste.

Development of the distribution network

Hermès has expanded internationally to develop its distribution network and they are able to measure that through the number of branches that they have opened over the years.

Products of High Quality

The Hermes products have always and are still known for being of very high quality. All items are made from refined materials and by hand solely in French factories. This contributes to their high value proposition.
In order to maintain the value of their products, Hermes has as a goal to still continue to offer qualitative products. To measure whether their quality is still high, the company will keep track of the number of returned products. For example, when a Hermes bag is purchased, the owner may return the bag for maintenance, as many times he/she wants, free of charge and for a lifetime.
