On November 15th, 1959, four members of the Clutter family were murdered by two ex-convicts- Richard “Dick” Hickock and Perry Edward Smith. Smith, a sensitive man prone to fits of rage, killed the two men Herb, 48 and Kenyon, 15. Hickock, a cocky coward with a sick attraction to young women killed Bonnie, 45 and Nancy, 16 as told by Smith in his oral confession. The cockiness Hickock possesses seems to ultimately lead to their arrest and death.
