Did you know that Henry Ford was not the first person to invent the car? Well in this essay I am going to tell you about the first car and the impact of it. The first person was Karl Benz, he always had a dream of creating a horseless carriage. His father died at a young age and his mother promised him the best education. Karl Benz was born into a poor family in 1844. His father died when he was 2 years old. After his father died his mother promised him the best education that she could afford. He enrolled at the poly-tec. University, later studying at the University of Karlsruhe. He graduated at age 19 in 1864. His dream was making a fully mechanized automobile. Later in his life he opened an iron foundry and sheet metal workshop with his partner August Ritter. The company later started having problems until Karl’s fiancé bought out Ritter’s shares. His fiancé’s name was Bertha after she saved the company they got married in 1872 and later had 5 children. After the company was saved his began to develop various parts of the vehicle he had always dreamt about. He made all of these parts from scratch. Final he started to assemble all of the parts in to the first fully powered gas car with two seats for a driver and passenger. He completely finished it on New Year’s Eve of 1885.
