Blue-tooth is a great emerging technology being used today, which also has potential for much more uses than the tradition bluetooth headset. Bluetooth connects gadgets together, helping users listen to music, talk on phones without having to deal with frustrating cords and wires. To understand how a Bluetooth connection works, I will use an example such as a phone connected to wireless speaker. The software interprets incoming Bluetooth signals and sends them out in ways other devices can read and understand. In the case of the wireless speaker, the phone will know how to send audio files and information in a format that the speaker understands, while the speaker can interpret these signals–as well as other indicators such as volume and track controls–from the phone.…

The power of a car hitting a motorcycle can be fatal, and most riders are careless because they like to dodge traffic and speed. According to Bateman-House (2014), “Proponents of bicycle helmets argue that, used properly, they protect individual cyclists; however, there is concern that mandating helmet use may result in a decrease in cycling” (p. 986). Motorcycle injuries have increased substantially over the years and “the study of those involved in motorcycle crashes from 1996 to 2005 revealed the average age of patients steadily and significantly increased over the course of the study period from 33.9 years in 1996 to 39.1 years in 2005” (Jackson &…

I often take my ability to hear for granted. Going into the field of Audiology, we can often forget how different the world is for the person in the booth- only seeing them as a diagnosis or problem that needs fixed. We get so preoccupied with running the standard battery, finding their diagnosis, recommending some sort of aid, that we forget that they are more than just their hearing. There’s other parts of a person that are intertwined with their ability to hear. Simulating a mild conductive loss reminded me how debilitating losing just a small portion of my hearing can be. Different situations presented their own obstacles and challenges that we sometimes not easily overcome.…

Motorcycle engine guards protect your motorcycle engine and radiator. Radiators are the "heat exchanger," they use a liquid-based coolant in the fluid to air cooling process. Without a properly working radiator, your motorcycle's engine will "cook" itself and will be broken in time. A faulty motorcycle radiator can be detected by a visible leaking fluid, dropping coolant level or a rising temperature gauge. To prevent radiator damage, a motorcycle engine guard is recommended, specifically a radiator guard. A well designed radiator guard should be enough to cover the whole radiator, it should also be designed to have high air flow offering protection without sacrificing airflow through the radiator. A good radiator guard should not only be efficient,…
