Healthy Hydration Levels
On September 8, 2016, I agreed to drink 64 ounces of water to maintain a healthy hydration level. When making a list of obstacles I failed to account for the stress and work at school. I think writing obstacles and ways to overcome them was beneficial. By having a set plan as to how to overcome obstacles I felt I had no reason to procrastinate or not do what I planned. Calling my own self out is just the wakeup call I need to stay hydrated and complete my goals. Completing and creating goals on the behaviour change contract was no walk in the park.
When creating target dates, I did not make them realistic. My target dates were too close to each other, which made it hard to stay focused on just one goal at a time. There were a few times I felt

1.2. It is important to negotiate realistic targets at work and to set deadlines and goals in relation to the task at hand. The main benefit of negotiating realistic targets for work is to make sure work gets completed on time and that you are always focusing on the outcome. You can therefore plan your time better. There is no point giving yourself unrealistic goals, as failure to meet a target could affect your development, the company’s reputation and work relationships with others. It would also cause stress for you and your colleagues.…

Honestly, while I was getting the smart and focus two assignment done I imagined myself setting up different types of goals and not achieving any of them. The reason I predicted this was because usually when set an objective for myself it usually backfires as a result of me not being very motivated. Nevertheless, I gave these tasks a chance to hopefully learn new strategies for the future to manage my academic and, in the long run, my career. In addition while I usually fail at achieving my goal I hoped that this new strategy would help me create a more realistic goal.…

I approach everything step by step....I had always set short-term goals. As I look back, each one of the steps or successes led to the next one. When I got cut from the varsity team as a sophomore in high school, I learned something. I knew I never wanted to feel that bad again....So I set a goal of becoming a starter on the varsity. That’s what I focused on all summer. When I worked on my game, that’s what I thought about. When it happened, I set another goal, a reasonable, manageable goal that I could realistically achieve if I worked hard enough....I guess I approached it with the end in mind. I knew exactly where I wanted to go, and I focused on getting there. As I reached those goals, they built on one another. I gained a little confidence every time I came through.…

The use of a diary allowed me to make my behaviour change progress more explicit which in return allowed me to observe and evaluate my behaviour change activities, as shown in the Diary. Through this personal experience, I learned a lot about myself; and most of all, I became aware of certain barriers that hindered my attempting to change my inactivity behaviour and some enablers that assisted in achieving my goals. I also have gained more understanding about difficulties related to lifestyle change; thus, a more empathic and non-judgmental approach should always be employed upon helping…

For example: one of my goals is graduating. Not only do I just want to graduate, I want to graduate with my associates degree. I’m also determined to work hard this school year and the next three that follow to complete my goal. Another goal I would love to complete is getting a doctorate in the profession, I decide to take part in. One more goal I’m working hard at is getting good grades. I feel a succeeding grade point average is three-point eight. Even though I see that as succeeding, I’m still going to try to get a three-point nine grade point average or higher overall this school year and the following school years. So, those are just some of my goals I would like to complete. I have many more goals I hope to complete, with hard work hopefully my goals will be completed.…

Good hydration is important for athletes as their body lose water through sweat to keep it cool down. Control levels of fluid and water balance even before, during and after training or during matches are essential aspects for the athletes. For low intensity exercise lasting for a short duration such as low intensity training or during rest between each training session, water is very good for rehydration (Nutrition Australia, 2009). In addition, high intensity and endurance sports last longer than 60 minutes, a drink which contains carbohydrate and electrolytes such as a commercial sports drink, is generally more effective than water in enhancing performance. These drinks contain carbohydrate to help delay fatigue by providing glucose to the…

Setting goals is all part of mapping what the future will be like for any person. Many people have a list of things they would like to achieve by a certain age but circumstances and other vicissitudes of life at times throw plans off course. For example, one of my life’s goals was to have a graduate degree by the time I turned 30. I reached this age about 4 months ago, and I am still a considerable ways off of meeting that goal. When I was penning the syllogism based on my goals I…
