Health Care Services Offered by Public Hospitals
Public hospitals are funded by the government and render health care services to the people who cannot afford to pay high expenses to their health care needs. These hospitals serve anyone and every person that needs help especially the poor ones. Public hospitals are not equipped with the latest technologies in medicine. But then, most Filipinos seek for advice from these government hospitals because charges are not implemented. They may or may not operate profitably. Their main function is to provide health care services. Public hospitals receive government assistance, and therefore are required to treat people regardless of their ability to pay.

Health care services offered by public hospitals are delivered for the prevention and treatment of disease and for the promotion of physical and mental well-being. These services offered are affordable to the patients with no ability to pay for high expenses. They offered health services to all sectors of their facilities in their hospitals. Just like in the emergency room, operating room, and the public wards, there are health care providers like the hospital’s staffs which include nurses, doctors, who give good health care services to the patient. Nurses provide services designed to promote health, prevent illness, and achieve optimal recovery from or adaptation to health problems. They provide sufficient care for patients to make them feel comfortable while in the hospital. Services from the doctors also give good treatment to the patients because doctors in a public hospital can give their best and in an affordable price. Towards their patients, doctors work towards the betterment of their patient’s health.

Public hospital can also give free services. If one is qualified for the free service, a patient can have an opportunity to have free doctor and room accommodation in the hospital. Department of Social Welfare Development(DSWD) can also give a great help to serve the indigent people who really needs

The increased workload affects the performances of staff and ultimately, the quality of nursing care will impact negatively. If the staff feel that they are not cared for, then it is difficult to take care their patients. Nurses likes to work in an environment with less stress and where they feel more esteemed.…
