There is ample evidence to show Reiki is a beneficial approach to health and well-being. Kathleen M. Whelan and Gracie S. Wishnia conducted a study to evaluate the benefits of Reiki in a hospital setting. The results of that study have been documented in this concept map. As you can see, Whelan & Wishnia (2003) proved that receiving Reiki treatments before and after surgery decreased depression, anxiety and stress, leading to over-all better health.
