Here I was sitting on the couch in the middle of the night, then a plane passed by loudly my brain, then brought me back to a moment that happened years ago . It was Friday around 3am I was going to Hawaii for a vacation. I grabbed my suitcase and headed to the airport. The security checks took such a long time I stood for hours waiting and waiting. Later everybody was finally let onto the plane. The plane soon started taking off. I was sitting on the side of a window. As soon as the plane took off I was looking through my window everything was starting to get smaller and smaller. It was finally time finally the plane started to take off. I was on my way to Hawaii. In a few minutes of the trip I decided to sleep for the rest of the way so I kept my eyes shut. Only in about 30 mins I was then in a very deep sleep then I was dreaming. It was me on a plane I was sitting down in my seat something was then ticking tick tock tick tock.
Then someone yelled “BOMB!!!”. Then boom! The whole plane exploded.

The plane was getting closer by the second. I went to pull the trigger then heard a click. That was probably the worst thing that could happen in that scenario so I went to pop out the flare and put it back it. But as I opened it the flare was ejected out into the water. I dove in after it and grabbed it with a death grip. Jumping back in the dingy I put the flare back in and pulled back the hammer and fires that flare straight at the plane. The shot was so great that it almost hit the plane. The plane circled around and started to get lower the side read U.S. Coast Guard. 30 minutes later a helicopter came and hovered above me. The side of the helicopter shot open with a man in a bright orange water suit jumped out. He swam to me and said “Hi i'm peter we are here to help. what is your name?” I told him…

I hated peanut butter and now the plane would smell like peanut butter for forever, great. “No thank you,” I sighed as I wiped the mixture of spit and peanut butter off of my face. I stood up and looked around me, hoping to find an escape from all of this absurdity. Then I saw it, in the front right corner of the plane was a small, blue box with some faint, illegible writing. I walked over to the box and noticed it was a parachute. An epiphany came across my body as I realized that this was my chance to depart from the plane. I immediately took possession of the parachute, opened the emergency exit, closed my eyes, and jumped out of the plane. I heard a loud thump and slowly opened my eyes. The sight around me was not the crummy, rickety plane, but instead, it was an old helicopter. Just as I thought things could not get worse, they…

“The Aloha State” was annexed to the United States in 1959, but its history can be dated back centuries earlier. Approximately 1,500 years ago, Polynesians from the Marquesas Islands first set foot in Hawaii. Hawaiian culture, a mixture of many Polynesian traditions, flourished over the centuries. The arrival of Captain James Cook, Protestant missionaries, and European diseases in the late 18th and early 19th centuries stunted the growth and development of the native Hawaiian population. Western influence continued to grow and by 1893, American colonists, who controlled much of Hawaii's economy, overthrew the Hawaiian Kingdom. Although many natives died in the hustle of their history, their culture lived on. When on vacationing in Hawaii, tourists can experience the vibrancy of the Hawaiian culture firsthand.…

I stood on the edge of the plane's door and looked down, but all I saw was the endless blue sky. The buildings and streets were not visible so high above the ground. I extended my arms out, put an immense grin on my face and jumped. I could no longer depend on the floor being below my feet. I had to trust both the wind and my parachute would carry me down to the ground safely. I eagerly stretched out my body in order to captivate every second of freefalling. Those sixty seconds seemed like hours. The pressure of the wind hit my face with power and dominance.…

After sometime I felt the hands of the rescue workers as they pulled me away. I remember screaming as the car exploded. I had died and had come back to life. I saw my body on the operating table and the doctors and nurses around me. I tried to talk to them but they had not seemed to hear. Then I saw a long tunnel and floated towards it. I felt grateful that I had attained heaven. At the end of the tunnel I saw a woman wearing a white dress sitting with a baby girl in her lap she was kissing her and taking care of her. When I went close to her, I was surprised to see that its my mother and that’s me in my childhood sitting in her lap. Tears started rolling out of my eyes. Suddenly that women stood up and came to me and explained that it was not my time to die yet, then guided me back to the tunnel.…

Then the oxygen masks fell and the pilot asked us to place them on our faces. Everyone was panicking and I started to cry because I don’t like scary situations. My mom and Dad were trying to comfort me but it wasn’t working. All of a sudden the plane started rapidly going down. Then BOOM, we crashed! We crashed in to the water. All I remember is being the only one alive and the plane was in pieces. My family member were all dead, every single one of them, I was freaking out. I didn’t know what to do. I was in the middle of the ocean with no way to call anyone, no boats around, no food or anything to drink, and I had no life jacket all I could do was hold on to a piece of the plane. I moved my seat belt strap behind my back so I could reach Joel, who was strapped in a car seat to my left. Then I grabbed a couple hot, salty fries from the red and yellow McDonald’s bag. As I leaned over and placed the fries in his gaping mouth, suddenly my surroundings became a blur. Our red minivan collided with a monstrous truck, causing my body to fling around like a rag doll. I was hanging over the side of my seat, the seat belt strap that I should have been wearing properly, useless behind me. As I forced myself to sit up, my back ached with an excruciating pain that I’d never felt before. My head throbbed and I felt warm blood gushing from my forehead and nose. The windshield was shattered, tiny silver shards scattered across the dashboard. Smoke clouded the air outside. Everything I saw was hazy as agonizing distress overcame my seven year old body. Waves of nausea coursed through me. But a single thought consumed my mind. Was everyone alive?…
