Concept – How one approaches life’s challenge can both shape one’s character also reveal who is.

The short film ‘Harvie Krumpet’ by Adam Eliot, is based on the main protagonist’s, Harvie Krumpet’s life as a migrant in Australia after an invasion of his home country, Poland. As he was trying to adjust in the new country, he encounters various life challenges in which shapes his character as well as revealing his trues self.

As Harvie approaches various challenges, his striving characteristics are portrayed through the symbolism. When Harvie encounters new challenges during his immigrate life like making a new friend In the new workplace, he ended up in the hospital most of the time As director or Adam Eliot uses symbolism through the reputation of slamming hospital door, it implies his perseverance action towards challenge in which builds up his positive characteristics.

Throughout his new life in Australia, repetition of different fact/fakts about life in-between events is used to reveal his admirable attitude of leaning new things after overcoming challenges. One of the fakt “Love does not conquer all’ was displayed in which indicates it as being his guidance in life. Furthermore, Harvie’s parents especially his mother was very influential to him as she thought Harvie so that Eliot has implied his mother as being his motivation to challenge new things.

In the final stage of the short film, Harvie regain his positive attitude is displayed as he decided to live after trying to take his own life after experiencing depression. As he was listening to the woman who is sharing a same emotion, he learns the true value of life and decides to continue challenging life. This reinforces his perspective and t is portrayed in the long shot of him sitting down in naked in the bas strop. The wide/long shot represents his enlarged perspective on life and naked body rprsentnts him being true to
