Harmful Habits of Human Beings That Threaten Our Environment
Harmful habits of human beings that threaten our environment

We have one earth and also one environment on earth. We should care for it and we should cooperate together to keep it carefully to deliver it to next generations. Unfortunately some human’s activities threaten our earth and our environment. Main harmful habits that threaten our environment are burning fossil fuel, polluting environment with garbage and destroying forests.
Burning fossil fuel is one of harmful activities that threaten our environment. The main reason of global warming and acid rain is burning fossil fuel. Burning fossil fuel produce many harmful gases that they cause acid rain and temperature rise. Global warming can cause climate change, environmental disaster, ice caps to melt and rising sea levels. Acid rain damage trees and plants in forests and decrease the nutrient of soil. Use of fossil fuel influence negatively on many areas. We should use and look for new, clean and efficient fuels.
Human beings are garbage maker. We daily make a lot of rubbish and garbage. All of factories also make a lot of garbage and sewage. There are many kinds of garbage and sewage are made by factories that they are extremely harmful for environment like chemical rubbish. If garbage isn’t recycled well it will be harmful for environment. In addition many factories polluting seas and rivers with their sewage and these activities kill many kinds of submarine animals. New efficient recycle ways should be found.
Destroying forest by cutting trees without reforesting is another harmful activity. Trees give us oxygen, absorb carbon dioxide and they are the habitats for many kinds of animals. If the amount of woods decreases, the percentage of carbon dioxide will increase and the extinction of some animals will happen. Forests are the heart of the earth and we have to concern about the increasing of them.
As a conclusion, earth is our settlement and it is also the habitat of many animals. We have to care

According to www.sciencedaily.com, in 2008 there was so much garbage they had 378,000 volunteers help cleanup garbage. Also garbage causes pollution and climate change and habitat destruction. Each year garbage kills over a million animals. From some garbage wrapping around animals flippers and amputating them. Additionally garbage can cut marine life and create infections. Also ocean currents have been carrying debris into all major oceanic gyres (spiral or vortex) for decades. They recorded a tin entered in the ocean In 1986 and will decompose until 2036. That is why everyone should recycle.…

Pollution is a major disadvantage of fossil fuels. Fossil fuel releases greenhouse gasses (GHG) carbon dioxide when burned thereby causing a greenhouse effect. This is also the main contributory factor to the global warming experienced by the earth today.…

Cutting down the forests destroys other species’s habitats and causes erosion. Burning down the forests releases huge amount of CO2, which contributes to global warming and changes in global climate patterns. Burning coal for electricity is devastating. It also releases CO2 and greenhouse gases, which cause global warming, ice melting, and coral reef dying. Smoke from industries damages the ozone layer and causes acid rain.…

“Unfortunately, the process involved in using the fuels released fumes into the air that are harming the planet.” Since fossil fuels are not a renewable source it will eventually run out. “In 1987 the United Nations said that we should aim for sustainable energy.” Meaning countries should start developing sources of energy that will never run out or harm the planet. “Fossil fuel power plants burn oil, coal, or natural gas.“That heat produced is used to turn water into steam.” “The steam powers machines called turbines, and the turbines then power generations that produce electricity.” However burning fossil fuels also releases harmful substances into the air, such as oxides says Vic. “These oxides mix with water vapor and fall to earth as acid rain,” which is harmful to the…

Forests are important to the production of oxygen, which is why the need to save them is so crucial. According to www.mnn.com more than 20% of the oxygen in the world is produced in the Amazon Rain Forest. Without trees humans would not exist, not only do they produce oxygen but they filter the air we breathe. As reported by www.about.com, a mature leafy tree produces as much oxygen in a season as 10 people inhale in a year. Forests renew our air supply by absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen. Trees also clean our atmosphere by intercepting airborne particles by absorbing ground-level ozone, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, and other greenhouse gases. Stated by www.americanforest.org , a single tree can absorb 10 pounds of air pollutants a year, and produce nearly 260 pounds of oxygen- enough to support two people. Humans do not think cutting down trees here and there will make a big impact, but all the trees they cut down add up and in the end they are only hurting us. In addition to oxygen, forests help reduce global warming.…

From my research and readings, I‘ve concluded that, the foremost effect that burning fossil fuels has on our environment is the greenhouse effect, also known as global warming. Carbon dioxide, which is also known as greenhouse gas is released during combustion of fossil fuels and is the cause of this catastrophe. But yet, other problems arise amongst the burning of fossil fuels, for example the depletion of fossil fuels, the shift of climate control, and the process of controlled life. In this essay I will briefly define I why I believe the burning of fossil fuels has a negative effect on the environment and its future.…

Trees are one of the most important aspects of the plant we live in. Trees are vitally important to the environment, animals and mostly us humans. So deforesting them will cause local and global effects on the environment and therefore harming us as well. They are also important for the climate as they act as filters of carbon dioxide. Forests are known as habitats and shelters of millions of species. However, the trees on our planet are being depleted at very high rates. The deforestation that has taken place due to human activity is as big as 50% of the whole planet. The main causes of deforestation is Ranching, Plantations, Logging, Mining, Road Building, Shifting Cultivations and for other commercial purposes.…

When the earth 's natural resources are depleted, the environment and the wildlife that inhabits it suffer greatly. Because of the increase in production that the Industrial Revolution spurred on, easily attainable fuel sources like wood were used in large amounts that had very significant impacts on the environment but were over looked because of the desire to speed up production at any cost. The dependence on this natural resource during this industrial time period became one of the largest causes of deforestation which not only affects the trees and the forest, but it also affects the wildlife that have made the forest their home. Deforestation ultimately leads to a lack of trees, which help to rid the air and water of the harmful pollutants and carbon emissions that factories put out into the environment. Without trees there is no clean air, and without clean air there can be no life.…

Cars and factories release greenhouse gasses into the air, and forests are being cut down. In other countries, many people are behind on cures for diseases. Many people talk about how the polar ice caps are melting and the ozone layer depleting. An Inconvenient Truth opened my eyes to see how today's technology and garbage affect these environmental disasters, and I want to do something about it.…
