Hard Work History

I have a history of being a hard working and dedicated student. I believe there is a good reason to work hard in class, as it will pay off later in life. I frequently ask questions to strive for a deeper understanding of the current topic. Occasionally though, my questions are ridiculous because I don’t think before I ask them. In class, I pay attention and work quietly when asked to. That being said, I do talk with my friends occasionally, but never when someone is presenting or the teacher is teaching. I do have overly energetic days where I may get a bit out of hand, so on days like that a gentle reminder is usually enough to bring my focus and attention back. Personality wise, I am generally a happy person. I try to be helpful and work together with others. Sometimes, I catch myself thinking conceitedly. That is something I am working to change. I am a social person and I like to have fun.
The past two years in high school have been very enjoyable, and both my teachers and classes are to thank for it. I have enjoyed all the science classes I have taken, biology and chemistry, and I also find podcasts, news stories, and videos about science fascinating. I am especially interested in astronomy and anything having to do with space. Outside of school, I enjoy a myriad of different outdoor recreational activities such as snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking and swimming. I also like to read, play ukulele, and sing (though not on stage). My proudest accomplishment is being awarded the "Spirit of Chelan" award for the past two years.
