Hank Williams Biography

EXPLANATION
For the second honors component, I chose option two, which is a biography on a famous Parisian. I decided to research Hank Williams Jr. The reason for my decision is that I was neighbors with Hank for about ten years, but I never knew much about him. I would like to know more about what he did, and how he personally contributed to Paris.

He expresses himself to be a “lifelong republican”; in the year 2000, he even remade one of his hit songs, “We are Young Country” into “This is Bush-Cheney County.” Finally, Hank Jr. has a strong passion for American values, especially when speaking about those who served for our country. I have been playing Piano from the age of five and therefore I think nothing can be more apt that quoting Mozart to begin my essay on my interest in the Honors college. I gained my understanding about the Purdue Honors college from the numerous YouTube videos posted under “ Purdue Honors”. I have a deep interest in mathematical algorithms, which I could not develop much in high school due to the very valid time constraints of my high school math teacher, who understandably had to spend more time with students who needed help. I believe the smaller class size and in-depth curriculum at the Honors College will give me the opportunity to go above and beyond what is expected. I do my best when the bench mark is set high and the honors College will provide the environment that will stretch me and make me always ask…
