The night of Halloween my group of friends were traveling to some deadly mountains for Halloween. This group consisted of Marie, Boinquisha, Lindsey, Angela, and her stupid boyfriend Angelo, Savannah, and me Moniyah. We all decided to go to this mountain since Halloween is the best time to do something fun and scary. This mountain is one of the scariest mountains there is and it’s called Death Rock. Me being myself said “I don’t think we should go to that mountain because I heard the ghost of David Smiggenhammer lives there”. “Nonsense”, said Lindsey my best friend. All I could say was “Ok I guess nothing to bad could go wrong, I mean David Smiggenhammer is dead and you can’t do anything to anyone if you’re dead. But little did I know all the way up there at Death Rock David Smiggenhammer was planting traps for each and every one of us. At 8:00 o’clock at night we all left with our trip and our parents said “Goodbye, be safe, and call us if you need anything. My parents being clueless thought Death Rock was a safe mountain, I knew it was bad to go there but I just fell for it under peer pressure. We made it to Death Rock and it looked sketchy and I talked to Lindsey, Angela and Angelo, Savannah, Boinquisha, and Marie. I said “Do you guys really think this is safe” and all of them said …show more content…
Angela’s and Angelo’s heads snap off and fly away in the wind. I screamed and cried and Savannah, Marie, and I tried to run away then someone grabbed us and took us to a shed. There were chainsaws, whips, ropes, and needles. Someone grabbed Marie and hit her with a whip and also grabbed me and hit me too. Marie and I cried then it was over for Savannah. Someone grabbed Savannah out of the shed and shot her outside. When someone grabbed us and took us back outside we tried to see who it was but it was too dark. When we got close to Savannah we saw that someone took her eyeballs out and put them in her mouth. We have never been so scared in our

This article talks about a concerned parent who has a son that wanted to dress like a princess for Halloween. She was concerned that people and other children would be judgmental of his choice of costume. The boy, Danny, did not want to dress like any characters most boys would choose, such as Peter Pan. Danny’s mom is not only concerned with the fact that he wanted to dress like a princess, but also that this phase is reaching the rest of his life as well. He likes many aspects that girls are associated with, such as playing with toy ponies. Danny does not have a father to look to for advice because he was killed before Danny was born. Danny was not introduced to the way in which boys are supposed to act and dress like. He had no clue that his choice of outfit was meant for a girl to wear. Danny did not care what other people thought about him and decided to not go with the social standard for boy’s attire. He proudly wore his princess Halloween costume to school. Danny’s mom was happy with the decision she made to let him wear the costume he wanted for Halloween.…

On the first of April my mom, dad, and I attempt to do April Fools pranks on each other. It usually seems that my dad and I always have the best pranks. Like a couple years back I put orange juice in my dad’s shampoo bottle, and he started washing his hair with it! Or the one time my dad put a rubber band around the sink sprayer and pointed upward where someone would stand. He then asked my mom to wet a wash rag, but when she turned the sink on it sprayed her in the face. That personally was one of my favorites because he got it on video to. Last year my mom turned the tables on my dad and I. My dad and I both forgot that it was April Fools and my mom brought us down some delicious ice cream. At least that's what we thought. Immediately my…

Do you know where the jack-o-lanterns came from? When Jack died, he wasn’t allowed into heaven because he was a miser. Jack played tricks on the devil, so he wasn’t allowed into hell either. “He had to walk the earth, holding a lantern, until Judgement Day.” People in the 1800’s carved their turnips into the face of “Jack-of-the-lantern” to remind themselves what happened to people who were misers. In the fall, pumpkins are much easier to find than turnips. That’s why Americans today carve their pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns.…

Once upon a time, there was a style of music and fashion known as disco, and it reigned supreme for some time while also giving birth to its relative opposite, the punk rock movement. Disco, for all of its decadent self indulgent glittery glory had an innocence about it, despite being a rather drug obsessed culture in the end. Punk was smarter, slightly more lucid, clearer, singularly focused on raging against the machine rather than worrying about approval, style or the cool factor. And that is precisely what made punks pretty damn cool. It was a cultural 180 degree turn away from the saccharine and sybaritic nature of the music and culture that came before it...it was necessary and refreshing.…

On a seemingly normal, stress-free, fall day, I found myself walking through The Village of Rochester Hills. It goes without saying that writing was one of the last things on my mind as I was shopping. However, as things seem to do, my priorities were about to drastically change. As I was attacked by three teenage boys, my world began to spin. I was knocked out by one single blow to the side of my face. As I opened my eyes I saw the boys leaving me on the pavement of the parking lot. After a moment, I realized that my purse and all of my belongings had been taken. There and then was when I realized how important writing can really be. I instantly ran into the closest store and began writing down all I could recall about the incident. Filling the paper with descriptions of the boys’ clothes, hair, faces, the van they left in, and even their voices, I wracked my brain for all the information I had.…
