Hall Of Honor Analysis

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has helped and encouraged me during my time at Westerville South, and those who believed in me enough to advocate for my induction into the Hall of Excellence. I am extremely grateful to be held in such high regard by the people that I have grown to love and respect so much. I have been tasked with something even more challenging, though, and that is to convince my friends and faculty that I am worthy to be recognized as one of the highest achievers in the history of our school. I know that I am competing with some of my best friends, of whom all could easily be recognized as outstanding young men and women that are more than deserving of this award, however I hope that I can show to you how …show more content…
I was recently honored by Kiwanis as being in the academic varsity in my class, having one of the ten best cumulative gpa’s in the school. I have balanced many extracurriculars while maintaining a weighted gpa of 4.6 and an unweighted gpa of 3.99. I have received an academic letter and been on the honor roll for all four years of high school, and earned the Academic Boosters award in social studies. Furthermore, I have received a number of scholarships in recognition of my efforts both from the community and from Universities. My academic achievement stems from a lifelong love of education that I have drawn upon countless times for strength and inspiration, especially during some of my more difficult classes such as AP Chemistry and IB Physics. My parents and teachers have always been so supportive of me, and my eagerness to learn paired with a phenomenal support system have allowed me to achieve all that I have thus …show more content…
I was chosen as a Cat with Class by Mrs. Monsul, a lunch lady at Westerville South. Personally, I believe that this speaks more to my character than if I had been recommended by a teacher, as I am easygoing and respectful with everyone I come across, regardless of who they are. I in no way mean to suggest that lunch staff or custodians are less deserving of respect than teachers, but many students treat them that way, and I am proud to say that I am different from them in that regard. Similarly, countless parents have approached mine at choir concerts and volleyball games saying how much I have supported and helped their children. Pairing this with my varsity sports experience and mentoring of younger athletes, as well as Junior Mentoring, I believe that I am an impressive role model, which is something that is very important to

Honors Study Hall is a highly debated topic within Wild Rose High School. People talk about where it should be held, who should be in it, and even if we should have it in the first place. This year our school decided to take honors study hall from the cafeteria and place it in the library. This was a bad idea because instead of changing the location, the subject in which should change is the people who are allowed to be in honors study hall. Within the Wild Rose High School I asked teachers what…

In Chapter 5, the work of art that I found most compelling was the cave painting in Lascaux, Dordogne, France, called Hall of Bulls (Page 112). This cave painting was created somewhere between c. 15,000-10,000 BCE. and may have been part of an ancient ritual. I find the detail on this cave painting to be utterly astonishing. I can’t even draw a proper stick figure in Paint and yet these cavemen were painting detailed pictures of running animals. It is amazing to see such a historical piece of art…

John Vanbrugh designed Seaton Delaval Hall in 1718 in the English Palladian style, a style wholly influenced by Andrea Palladio, a Venetian architect in the 1500s. Andrea Palladio wished to capture the beauty of Romanesque buildings, however Palladio’s “direct studies of antiquity, ” were of “enormous ruins ”, which weren’t initially stunning due to their decrepit nature. Upon further inspection, Palladio claimed that they were “much more worthy of observation than at first I had imagined,2” as…

Annie Hall considered as Woody Allen’s greatest movie which was released in 1977 shows the story of a failed romance. Starring Woody Allen himself and Diane Keaton the movie represents Allen’s own personal. This movie was a completely different idea of Allen from other movies since all other Allen’s movies are always filmed in a way to seem as laugh machines in which you would laugh all the way through it. Annie Hall interprets the love and the need of workout n a failure of relationship but all…
