Hall of Fame Speech
Thank You I appreciate everyone coming out, and the selection committee for honoring me with this prestigious accomplishment. When told I was making the hall of fame I had to think about my accomplishments at the high school during my career. I had to think about individual accolades, and personal accomplishments that I had achieved, but the only thing that really stuck out in my head was the CCS championship that our team won in 2005. I realized that football is the ultimate team game, and personal accomplishments are great, but they do not mean as much unless your team is successful. That is what I prided myself on when I played cougar football working hard, and making sure others were working hard beside me, and that’s one of the reasons I believe I was so successful. Half Moon Bay is unique place, and playing football here is a one of a kind experience. There is so much love, support, and sense of community here that you can’t get anywhere else. So I want to say thank you to the community, who kept an eye on me, and for the most part kept me out of trouble. I want to thank you to all the coaches over the years in all my sports for teaching me valuable lessons. I want to thank Mark Foyer also known as scoop for covering Half Moon Bay sports like we were pro athletes. I want to especially thank Matt Ballard, Keith Holden, Powell Chee, and Don Dias who were my coaches during my football years that taught me if you win the hit and hustle, and are willing to put in the work then you will be successful in not only football, but life. And most of all I want to thank my family, who has put up with me for 25 years. I am grateful I get to work here as a small business owner, and real estate agent. Half Moon Bay is a place I will always call home. Thank

Chris Jordan has delivered an incredible speech regarding to the issues that we are having in our society today. He did a great job with gathering the data of facts with using these raw language of data, and translate them into a more universal visual language. I think, that it is true that we tend to create these issues unconsciously with our behaviors. He also did a great job comparing the number people who died from smoking with number people that died during the nine eleven tragedy.…

“ What a beautiful day for some Dodger baseball,” Commented Vin Scully, with this legendary saying you knew that it was indeed a good day for baseball. The Commissioner of Baseball was driving down the highway on his royal blue Ferrari, casually listening to any baseball game that was on the radio. Knowing the Hall of Fame induction was tomorrow, The commissioner went out to buy an expensive and the nicest suit he could possibly find. Four hours later, Rob Manfred returned to his mansion in his white Ferrari f12. To his right was a Lamborghini Aventador and Lamborghini Huracan, to his left was a Ferrari…

In John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address, the author shifts from a powerful tone to an instructive tone by setting an example for other countries, inspiring the younger generations of Americans, and instructing his fellow Americans. Kennedy shows a powerful and tone when he says “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any for to assure the survival and the success of liberty.” Kennedy also shows a powerful tone to America’s young people when he states, “We dare not forget today that we are the heirs of that first revolution. Let the word go forth from this time and place, to friend and foe alike, that the torch has been passed to a new generation of Americans- born in in this century, tempered by war, disciplined by a hard and bitter peace, proud of our ancient heritage- and unwilling to witness or permit the slow undoing of those human rights to which this nation has always been committed, and to which we are committed today at home and around the world.” Kennedy then shifts his tone to instructive when he advices his citizens to “ask not what America will do for you- ask what you can do for your country.” Kennedy shifts from a powerful tone to an instructive tone in his inaugural address by setting an example for other countries, inspiring the younger generations of Americans, and by instructing his fellow Americans.…

    Luis Rodriguez Speech

    • 935 Words

Rodriguez’s speech means that intellect is not simply defined by going to school and getting conventionally good grades, but by the pursuit of knowledge. He means that education does not end after high school or even college, our minds should constantly be feeding and learning new things so we can continue to grow. Learning is messy, learning contains mistakes, it may look like a series of failures but if you persist you can achieve great things. Learning even looks different on everyone and that is not strange. We can become so focused on just getting by with good grades in school we can forget what an amazing opportunity we have, and when we can access to each other’s minds the possibilities are endless.…

Thank you so much, Coach, thank you, ESPN, and thank you, everyone. The award for Best Breakthrough Athlete is a huge honor, but much bigger than just me. But I’m here tonight to tell you the lessons I learned about teamwork, perseverance, and staying relaxed will never leave me.…

I have quite a few trophies on my shelves. I went from being a lineman, to being a starting wide receiver. I have caught three touchdown passes. The first touchdown catch I ever had was probably the best meaning to me. I jumped when I got into the end zone because it was my first one and I was really happy. It was a deep streak into the end zone although, we did win the game. I caught a lot of passes against Lee high. I probably would have caught another touchdown but I got held against Honaker. During the Honaker game I got my knee hit on some guy’s face mask and my knee was bothering me. When we played eastside I had a lot of big hits I accomplished them. Altogether, I have accomplished some pretty great things in my lifetime of playing football, baseball, and…

Today we are celebrating your Bar-Mitzvah, the time that they call the “acceptance of all the mitzvot.” As your older brother, I can tell you that its not the easiest part of growing up, but Dad would want me to say that you must always work your best to realize the importance of being a Jew and too love judaism. In celebrating your Bar Mitzvah this shabbos, and going on in life, you must always remember the core of who you are as a jew and what you represent. As I watch you grow and become a man, I think about who you are already. Your spirit and enthusiasm for life is something that was innate to you since you were born, and you must use that excitement for life forever. The most…
