In this poem, “1943” by Donald Hall, hall is telling of a high school student who lost his final round in the heavyweight finals. After high school he left for the war and shortly after enlisting “died in the third wave at Tarawa” which was similar to his last experiences in school. In lines four through six Hall states, “Every morning of the war our Brock-Hall Diary delivered milk from horse-drawn wagons to wooden back porches in southern Connecticut.” This quote leads us to the theme “As war goes on, as does life.” He talks about how everyday life still goes on even though “marines bled to death in the surf”. In line ten Hall states “- with frostbitten feet as white as milk.” He is showing symbolism by comparing soldier’s cold white feet…

Accolade then created a manual containing only the functional specifications of this decompiled code and not any of Sega's actual code. The first issue in the case was whether or not this intermediate copying by Accolade constituted copyright infringement or was it a fair use of the code.…

In 1893, Hall became a founder of the National Association for the Study of Childhood. Hall and his colleagues gained knowledge of children by making observations, questionnaires, and various reports on them (Pickren, 2012). Hundreds of the questionnaires were used in thousands of schools for approximately two decades (Pickren, 2012). The responses the children put on the questionnaires gave a general insight about a child. It was specifically focused on their fears, hopes, dreams, and behaviors (Pickren, 2012). Due to Hall’s method of questionnaire, he gave many people valuable knowledge about childhood.…

For decades in Canada, officially beginning in 1892, children were taken away from their families and put into schools that would change and take away their views and beliefs, initial knowledge, image, and identity. In the earlier stages, these schools were referred to as Industrial Schools for Indians. Today, we call them Residential Schools with Aboriginal survivors who are able to tell their stories. Aboriginal people suffered while there schools were running. This essay will compare the knowledge in a recent article to primary sources that were written while Industrial Schools were in action. The actions of assimilating Aboriginal people through a strict form of education caused a negative butterfly effect upon the public and Aboriginal population. This act was run by the Canadian government and churches as an act of assimilation through education. The school system performed strict forms of discipline towards the Aboriginal children to civilize them to live through the dominant culture. The method of assimilation was unsuccessful, Aboriginal people…

No Trent and Xavier could not sue the makers of Halo 2 because they could have no way of telling that Halo 2’s design started after Hallowed. Not only that, but since Halo 2 is a sequel to Halo 1, it is likely that the source codes are very similar to the first game, which would be used against Trent and Xavier in court as a defense.…
