Personal Philosophy of Leadership
My personal philosophy of leadership is to set an example, treat people as they want to be treated, be accountable, listen actively and develop effective communication. Having a positive attitude and celebrating even the smallest of wins, is a part of my philosophy as well. I believe that a leader should be able to handle problems in a democratic way and be able to lead, trust and respect all employees. Changes occur in all organizations and as a leader I will be able to assist employees to be prepared for these changes and assist the organization with implementing those changes. As

However, I just know that being a leader is what I consider myself to be. I am a leader that wants what is best for the organization and what is best for all employees. I am a leader that believes you can never stop learning. Being honest, candid, having passion, respect, confidence, clarity, care, integrity, compassion, and able to engage employees, shows good leadership. Good leadership is having shared visions, humility, empowering, communication and being fearless; this is the type of leader that employees would want to lead them. These are all of what my personal philosophy of leadership is and more. I understand and know the purpose and goals of my organization, and what strategies are needed to achieve their goals. I know the needs of each employee and what they need from me as their leader. I guide, critique and build self-confidence in all my employees to help improve their performance in every way possible. My employees always know where they stand, when there is something new to be learned we all learn it together, we work as a team. Although I believe that leaders in healthcare should follow the behavioral theory, I do believe that leaders are born as well as made. I have learned leadership skills that not only helps me to succeed, but help my employees to succeed as well. Over the years, my leadership skills have grown, and they continue to grow each day, there is always something to be

Lastly, my philosophy on leadership is simple: lead by example, always help, and never quit. Quitting is out of the question for me. Using excuses instead of giving your best, giving up on something (or someone), or abandoning your responsibilities are things I absolutely do not believe in. Promoting excellence in others starts with promoting it in yourself. I have found from being in…

Leadership… I always try my best to obtain as many leadership positions as possible, of course, with the assurance that I can handle them all. I can always be critical and say it's pretty obvious I have leadership qualities just because I'm class president, but as a leader I try not to think of it as just a title. A leader should be one that is more constructive and less critical. A critical person may think there has got to be a better way to do something, but a constructive person knows what that "Better way" might be. A leader can best be described as, responsible, successful, and resourceful. When it comes to showing good leadership I think I can truly live up to it, because of the positions I uphold.…

There have been many things that have affected my philosophy of leadership. Something that has affected me as a leader is my values. One of my core values is responsibility. As a leader, it is important I understand what to do and what is expected of me. When I am responsible as a leader, those I am trying to lead are more willing to do what I ask them to do. Another of my values is respect. In the past, I am always nice and listen to the ideas of others even if they are not the easiest people to be around. In my experience, it has been easier to earn the respect of my constituents when I respect them as well. My core beliefs will continue to influence my behavior as a leader in the future. The development of my leadership philosophy has also been a result of watching my leaders. One leader that has affected me a lot has been my father. When my mom was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease, he did all he could to help out. He took constant care of my mom, continued to work from home, and helped me with school without ever complaining. I try to behave as he did in my leadership roles. I do everything willingly and help out as much as I can. I aim to keep negativity out of already stressful situations and try not to complain. My leaders at school, both good and bad, have also affected my style of leadership. They helped me learn when I need to sit back and let those I…

The utmost important aspect of a leader is their ultimate goal, which brings me to my question. What is my goal as a leader in the various phases of my life and career? My ultimate goal is to inspire those who are committed to my leadership. To inspire them to achieve greatness, to surpass their own expectations, to become leaders themselves - these are my aspirations. If I do not succeed in accomplishing this, then, I will be lacking a key piece of what separates the average from the exemplary.…

The predominant worldview of leadership is that it is an opportunity to tell others what to do, and to control outcomes for personal gain or reputation enhancement. I do not share this view. I believe all leadership boils down to one word; influence. True leaders, those that serve others, are people who have a clear vision of what the future will be like and then work cooperatively with others to see and move toward a shared future. This is the essence of the leadership style that Jesus Christ modeled for us. He showed us a great vision for our future and then works intimately in our lives to help us on our journey toward that vision.…

    What Makes a Good Leader

What makes a good leader? I believe that to become a good or even great leader one either has to be participating or tentative, what differentiates the two is how you go about applying them and how you integrate them into your specific style of leading. Moreover I think that a leader must lead by example, admit when they're wrong, and recognize their subordinates' weaknesses and individual strengths. What type of leader am I? I would like to think of myself as a colorful, loud, energetic, and very outspoken leader that leads by example and doing. I hope to someday become a better honed and articulated leader, one that my subordinates can confide in and come to with anything they feel needs my attention. Moreover I want to be made into a well-respected and admirable leader, one whom my subordinates can perhaps aspire to be. I believe that the many strengths I have to bring to the leadership level are, being able to speak up when things are not going the way they should be, knowing when to stop at something, and knowing the right outlets to use in order to get what's needed to accomplish the mission in a timely, efficient, and standardized way. Finally, a good leader has to be faithful to his group members and activities. This in turn, will result in an atmosphere of assurance among subordinates. Having faith in my abilities and the world around me, I will gain a stronger inspiration and inspire others in the…

A Leader and an Example Always A good leader is someone who loves to lead others to live life to the fullest and does their very best at it, so that the other people involved love to be led and be inspired to their best to exceed the expectations set before them. A good leader has many desirable personal qualities and has learned the practical skills needed to excel in their position. They are dedicated to the program they are in and willing to do whatever it takes to raise the expectations around them and inspire others to do the same. A good leader motivates and inspires others to do what is right. They are confident and give good reason for why to follow them. A good leader "practices what they preach" they set the example and encourage others to follow in their footsteps. I believe that an effective leader is a person who has a dream and a vision that will improve the program they are involved in, or at least, some portion of it. A good leader has to feel passionate about their goals and dreams, because if they are not, they will not be able to make the necessary difficult and sometimes unpopular decisions that are often needed. A good leader must possess courage and a strong will to do whatever it takes to improve the social group in which they are surrounded by. To be effective, a good leader also has to try to come up with effective strategies that will help guide their vision in the right direction, in other words, a good leader has to be creative and possess intellectual drive. A good leader must also be able to be understanding and be a good listener. They must take into consideration how their decision might affect their team members, friends, and whether or not it is the best decision or if there are other options. Thus, a good leader must be open for change and new ideas to succeed and help others excel to new heights. A good leader must be dependable; others need to know that their leader will be there when needed. This relates to…
