Guy Montag's Character From 'Fahrenheit 451'
Guy Montag: He's the main character of this novel. He is a fireman. He is married with Mildred Montag. He is not happy. He is also curious and brave.

Mildred Montag: She is the wife of Guy. They don't really love each other. She is materialistic and she doesn't like books. She is also a coward.

Clarisse McClellan: She is different and nice. She calls herself crazy. She talked to Guy every day until she was killed by a car. She changed the way Guy looked at life.

Captain Beatty: He is the captain of the firefighters. He has read books and he uses this to confuse people and keep them away from reading them.

Stoneman and Black: They are firemen that work with Guy.

Faber: He is an old man that loves books. He used to be an English professor.

    In The Hearth and the Salamander, the first in the trilogy of sections in Fahrenheit 451, Guy Montag goes through a period of curiosity and discovery. This is when he takes a book from a house he is burning, unbeknown to the other workers.
