Guts Ball Figurative Language

“Guts ball”, is when you really get down to it, not only the root of the novel but life in its entirety; and Ken Kesey had known that when making that selection of words. To have guts and balls is to be brave, to have a kind of undoubtingly strength in a stance you stand firm with. To put the two together is to have what it means to be your own being despite what forces may be up against you. The words had captured the essence of the novel as a whole through enwrapping the journey that all the characters had gone through throughout the novel. Ken Kesey choosing those words had essentially packaged what courage and on a minute scale, aggression, can do in repossessing autonomy. Going into the ward, the patients were stripped of all things
