Dear Admissions Department After doing much research about colleges in the area that have a Vocational Nurse program, I am applying to Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts because of the outstanding reputation and the exceptional reviews that I have read from other recent graduates. Additionally, I am enthusiastic about the Vocational Nurse program at the Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts because helping others comes naturally to me. I want to make peoples lives better and I believe your school will help me achieve my goal. Currently, I am just beginning my journey and ready to dive into the studies program. My ultimate goal is to finish the Vocational Nurse Program and Once I have completed the program, my desire is to continue my studies and further my education to become a Registered Nurse. I am confident this is the correct career path, as I grew up in a family where I had a rough childhood. I have seen the struggle and have been discouraged many times to not further my education. I have always picked work over education due to hardship. I have seen others become successful while I was still at the bottom where I started.. Now that I am older, I have turned my discouragement in to encouragement and I am sure I will better my life. Considering the fact my family and I have had rough times, I feel like I would be honoring them and myself by achieving my goals and creating a new journey. I want to be the success factor in my family. I want to be a role model for my younger brother. Most importantly, I want to prove to myself and my family that it is never too late to better yourself.

Pursuing a career in Registered Nursing is my long-term goal, and I would like to start my path of success by earning my degree in the Vocational Nursing Program from Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts. I appreciate your time and consideration and look forward to hearing from you soon. I have attached my application to this letter and would like to assure that you will not be disappointed if you accept me.

Sincerely,

Diljyot Kaur

For me, choosing to be a part of the nursing profession was not as easy as it may have been for others. I am not the daughter or granddaughter of a nurse. My mother was a single unemployed woman for most of my life. I knew I wanted to walk my own path, but I wasn’t certain what that was. When I entered the workforce, I didn’t follow my dreams; I simply followed familiar steps. For many years I wanted to pursue a career in the medical field, but responsibilities held me back. I realized while I may be very good at what I was doing, I was not following my heart.…

During high school my older cousin, who is a nurse and the most influential person in my life helped me affirm my decision to pursue nursing. She always said the feeling of giving yourself to a complete stranger in their greatest time of need is like no other feeling on earth. Each day we talk, she would describe what her patient did that day and how today was better than yesterday. Her many stories from the hospital inspired and convinced me that nursing is truly a very rewarding career. After finally speaking with her regarding my career goal, she convinced me that since I enjoy helping…

Now, at first I wanted to become a doctor. Unfortunately, as I gradually found out that becoming a doctor means years after years of college, I decide I have to be realistic. I want to be able to live a debt-free life and possibly survive on my own with a stainable career by the age of twenty- four. I can be in my mother house with a minimum wage paying job and still in school for ten more years. With nursing to me, it is attainable, it can basically be done within four to six years of college. I know I can do it and that is one of the main reason I choose this profession. Versus going for the whole doctor thing, not knowing when I would get out of school or even pay off my student loans. After contemplating about becoming a nurse, I realized that it is my gold mean. Since, it would help me fulfill my final end in my life of wanting to live in the world where I have a purpose, and that is helping…

Many people always ask “Why do you insist on going to school after working all day instead of going home to relax?” My answer, I want to achieve something. I want a career not a job. A job is something where you need to live paycheck by paycheck. Once I am done with my educational career and become a nurse, living paycheck by paycheck will be a thing of the past. I mean what better feeling is there than being ecstatic to go to a place where you are going to spend the next 8-10 hours at? A place where you are going to be working at for the next 20- 30 years and where you hope to retire from. By the time I am done with my educational journey to becoming a nurse I will be someone with a title. A well rounded individual my…
