Gun laws does it work? In recent discussions of Gun Control Laws, a controversial issue has been weather let the civilian run free without gun laws. On the other hand, some argue that gun law is great for the people. My own view is that I believe in the gun laws. Though I concede that someone don’t really have any mental problems or any other kinds of violence. I really do believe why does civilian need an automatic machine gun there is really no reason for it. But then I don’t know really why you should have a limit on your ammo in gun clip. Even though the statistics clearly state that the right to carry laws reduces crime rates, some people still don 't buy into it. People against right to carry laws are afraid that the person next to them may be a criminal and might be packing a 45 handgun in his back pocket. Or that the person that you just cut off on the highway has a rifle in his back window of his 4X4 and is just waiting for an excuse to use it. Although it may be frightening to think about, this simply just does not hold a credible argument. The person next to you, if he is a criminal, is going to be carrying a handgun whether or not it 's legal, and the person in the 4X4 with the mind set to assault, will not be held back by a law.

The trial of State of Arizona vs Jodi Arias is being tried in the Maricopa County Superior Court ("Criminal Court Case Information - Case History", 2014); the following paper outlines the process that follows in the criminal investigation up to the final stage. I have listened to nearly 12 hours of testimony from the key players that I have listed, from the courthouse in Maricopa County. When this particular case first was reported I remember finding it very interesting and was following the progress for some time. I recently became aware that this trial is still in the final sentencing after numerous jury dismissals, mistrials, hung jury, allegations of perjury, prosecution wrongdoing, and defense cover-ups.…

Everyday, we wake up in our rooms peacefully, get up, and tend to our daily duties. Imagine you are shopping and have just gotten into line when a man with a gun walks in and points it at the cashier. He yells,” Give me all of the money or I with shoot you.” Unfortunately for the criminal, the man in front of you has pulled a gun from under his shirt and fired at him. But what if that man wasn’t allowed to carry a gun? Would an innocent life have been taken? Or would a criminal have gotten what he wanted, again? Everyday scenarios like this one actually come to pass. But still, there is an ongoing debate on whether we should or shouldn't have concealed carry of weapons(CCW) . While many people believe CCW shouldn’t be legal there are many reasons…

The debate over gun control has been raging through the American political systems for years. On one side, there is the National Rifle Association (NRA) and 2nd Amendment-citing citizens who use their firearms for hunting and self-defense. On the other, there is Handgun Control Inc. (HCI) and followers of the Brady Campaign who want to ban guns on the basis that they are dangerous. Both sides have strong arguments, anchored in historical precedent and statistical analysis. Anti-gun control lobbyists’ arguments include the guarantee of the 2nd Amendment, the definition of “militia” as any adult male, self-defense, the relative uselessness of permits and regulations, and court cases in favor of firearm possession. Pro-gun control activists counter with the anachronism of the 2nd Amendment, the traditional definition of “militia” as a government-authorized army, the multitude of gun-related deaths, the need for stronger regulations, and the precedent England has set with their ban of handguns. Both sides of the issue present a compelling argument, and need to be looked into carefully before any decision can be made.…

Americans have a natural right with the Second amendment. Nelson Lund, a Professor at George Mason University School of Law, once stated how, “The right to self-defense and to the means of defending oneself is a basic natural right that grows out of the right to life and many gun control laws interfere with the ability of law-abiding citizens to defend themselves against violent criminals” (Gun Control - ProCon). People have a right to safety, and a right to defend themselves. Many citizens acknowledge and defend this right. By implements stricter gun laws the only thing being done is taking away some people's ability to defend themselves against others who won't follow any laws put into place. This walks hand in hand with the second amendment, which “protects an individual’s right to own guns” and states that guns are needed for self-defense from threats ranging from local criminals to foreign invaders. Along with the fact that gun ownership deters crime rather than causes more crime (Second Amendment). America was built upon freedom, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and even the freedom to own guns and protect oneself from whomever may pose a threat. Bad people with guns can only be fought against by good people with the same abilities to have guns. Along with this the Fourteenth Amendment incorporates the fundamental right to keep and bear arms for the purpose of self-defense (Second Amendment). The second amendment is not the only amendment that protects a humans right to bear arms, here are other amendments this country was built upon that protect an american's right to protect…

Even know this is a small town, there still is a big gun rate and death rate. ¨None of the 62 mass shootings between 1982 and 2012 was stopped by an armed civilian¨(pro con). The armed civilian thought if he would react and help he would get his taken away. "They don't buy guns from people who do background checks. And you don't see very many at gun shows either. So I don't think it's going to make a whole lot of difference"(pro con) This quote shows that criminals will get guns either way because they can buy them anywhere. Constitutions in 37 US states protect the right to bear arms for self-defense(pro con). People should be able to have a gun for home defense and if a criminal has a gun and know they don't it leaves them vulnerable.…

A ban on guns will be expensive, hard and will generate a black market for guns. We do not need another black market for firearms. Usually when something is banned, criminals start to capitalise on the demand and try make gangs to ship guns everywhere and it is these times when the mortality rate is higher (the drug wars). We may need to try other ways to dissuade criminals such as improvements in the health system.…

The United States of America, is admittedly going through many low points and difficulties with the infrastructure of the government. One of the most prevalent controversial issues among the government and its citizens is where the hypothetical “line” is drawn with gun control. Gun control presents itself as a point of valuable authority in the government to some, and also continues to be an enormous problem to others. This argument between the government and its people clash over the matters of possession and confiscation of firearms, the Constitution’s content and the position it takes to back up the issue, what the future holds for gun owners, and if the stricter control of firearms by the government actually reduces the amount of crime…

Anti-gun users have pointed out the fact that states who haven’t taken their gun laws seriously have had an increase in homicides. “Guns, obviously, are built, designed and operated for one purpose and one purpose only: to kill things with (Edelstein).” Some people have that opinion because it is true. Also, more people have died from criminal use of guns, such as gang fights for example. Some people think it is easy for anyone to get access to a hand gun, and it actually is. The laws in some states don't even require a waiting period, forms of identification, or even a background check. Anti-gun users think that if handguns are illegal it is still possible for criminals to get them. There are still gang members out there illegally buying guns. If that came to a stop, some believe there would be a decrease in gang violence and armed robberies.…
