Gun Control Should Be Banned Essay
“You don’t need no gun control, you know what you need? We need some bullet control. Men, we need to control the bullets, that’s right. I think all bullets should cost five thousand dollars…,” said comedian Chris Rock according to GoodReads.com. Now when one of the most influential comedian and actor who everyone grew up knowing to love has a concern with gun control. You think to yourself how could someone so happy, energetic, and funny be worried about the bad things in life. Well our government thinks a gun control ban would be an appropriate action to make everyone's lives better due to recent mass shootings, homicides, and suicides. Truth be told guns do not pull the trigger on their own, and government should not have the right to ban …show more content…
Many people encounter a time in there life where they are threatened, afraid, and should have that comfort of a gun. For example right now pro life is a huge discussion in the world, and rapes and sexual have a lot to deal with this issue. According to TheWellArmedWoman.com, “ There were 248,300 rapes/sexual assaults in the United States in 2007, more than 500 per day, up from 190,600 in 2005. Women were more likely than men to be victims…” This statistic is out the roof and quite disturbing, and if more women were carrying some form of self defense, there would be much less sexual assaults in the United States. There's no true proof of whether it would drop or not but we have considered only some of homes own a gun. I feel as if we more people owned guns such as the women who are victims of these horrible actions would be much more protected in dangerous situation. So talking this privilege of owning a guy for protection away, makes people feel much more endangered in the comfort of the own home. If you're responsible, and have basic gun safety you should never feel that uncomfort.
To conclude, some people feel that if the government does make gun laws it will help reduce crime, death rate, conflicts, and suicides. However, guns do a lot of good things as in providing protection, a meal, and a right. Things the government can do to make a more middle point for everyone would be better background

All in all, it is not a good choice for American society at the present stage to ban gun. From the constitutional view, Gun Ban is contrary to the constitution of human rights and protection spirit; from the political view, it will increase the risk of tyranny; from the economic view, it will lead criminal squares to become one of the guns of the monopolist; from the social reality view, it leads to the lack of citizen means of self-defense; finally, from social culture view, it does not conform to the American culture tradition and social psychology. I think the key to the problem of gun crime is not the gun itself, but the deep problems of the society, such as poverty, social life and so on. I think gun control is just a…

The role guns play in our society has long been a controversial topic for the past few years in the united states. There are those who believe that guns do not belong in the hands of citizens and there are those who believe that guns are the foundation that protects our rights and liberties stated in the Constitution. There are too many leading factors as to why there should not be any stricter gun control laws. Some of these factors are that they go against our fundamental rights of self defense, give too much power to the government, and could potentially increase crime rates in the united states.…

Picture a class of twenty elementary students hidden under desks around the classroom, and the teacher is begging the children to stop sobbing. Down the hall the sound of gunshots ring out the sounds of people screaming and begging for help can be heard. The shooter is moving closer and closer to the area and all the innocent soon to be victims are defenseless. There is nothing in that classroom that is going to stop what is about to happen. Now imagine a teacher with a handgun that could at least scare off the shooter, or deter them from advancing into the room. Many people frown upon teachers being able to carry a handgun on school grounds, but if they only knew that the thing they frown upon could possibly be saving their kids life. It makes perfect sense that teachers should be able to carry a handgun if and only if they go through the proper training and tests.…

For the last couple of years, gun control has continued to be a huge controversial debate in Congress. This argument over whether gun control laws should be strict is nothing new to the world of politics. The ideas of gun control consist of laws that either keep away firearms from people, or allow one to keep guns for personal protection. They also control who the guns are being sold to and who can own them. In America, each state government has passed many gun control laws. Many people think that gun control is right because they think keeping people away from guns will reduce the amount of deaths each year. They also think that guns cause many of the deaths that had been committed each year. Whenever people hear the word gun, the thoughts…

What would be going through your mind if you were in a restaurant and a mad man came in and began slaughtering people right and left including you family (Swasey 174)? Would you be thinking if they would ban guns this would have never happened? Probably not! What you were probably thinking is if I had a gun on me I could protect not only my family but also the others being slaughtered. This same scenario was on the mind of Suzanna Gratia as written in Elizabeth Swasey essay ”NRA Woman’s Voice”(174). People are starting to see a gun as an object of death and destruction, and not what they are intended to be.…

Some believe that the government should make gun laws stricter for the safety of them and their family. Others feel that that the gun laws should remain the same, because they don’t want their constitutional rights violated. What is the controversy surrounding this topic? The controversy is that the government believes that the world would be a safer place if the gun laws are stricter. Some feel that their rights would be violated, and the final group of people is the ones who are kind of on both sides. They want the laws to be stricter but they also care about their own rights. The government has to find a solution that will satisfy all three groups of people. They try to find balance amongst the group. Should the…

Gun control should not be in force because it only affects the people who follow the laws. If weapons were banned, that is, putting gun control into effect, the people who follow laws won’t be able to protect themselves from people who don’t abide by the laws. The main purposes of fire arms is self- protection and hunting. So if the government tries to take our weapons away from us we can just throw the 2nd amendment at them and tell them that this is unconstitutional. We understand they are trying to cut down on crime, but it is actually making the crime rates go up. In Britain the government thought it would bring the crime/murder rate down but, it actually increased about 1 million more deaths each year. The government is trying to get is ammo they are trying to limit ammo manufactures to a certain amount of ammo a day. They are also making people go into havoc and making them go crazy over ammo, so people are buying…

Guns do a lot of bad, but do a lot more good for society. Banning guns will not stop the problem, but will just make it worse. Guns are apart of our society as Americans they have been around since colonial years, and are not leaving anytime soon. “The number of guns in America has increased by more than 50 percent since 1993, and in that same period the gun homicide rate in the United States has dropped by half. (Kristof, The Times).” Guns offer protection for individuals. One day you could be in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a shooting breaks out, you will pray there is someone else there with a concealed firearm to help control the situation while waiting for police to arrive. They can’t do that if guns are banned. “We need to understand that we cannot stop crimes and murders. And banning guns would be a step, or two, backwards instead of moving forward in the right direction (The Times News).” The research conducted to produce this paper was drawn from a multitude of sources all with different…

Gun Control is when you keep firearms of any type, including handguns, High power rifles and even low caliber hunting rifles such as a .22 long rifle away from people. Many people think that gun control is the right way to go because they think keeping guns away from people will lower the death rate of people by guns. Also, just whenever people hear the word gun, the thoughts of violence and negativity pop into the heads of many people, myself included, think gun control is wrong because we know that it is not necessary, since we know that guns were not involved in a large percentage of deaths caused each year. While many other people disagree and think that a law will keep guns out of people's hands and keep them safer. All laws do is keep…

Today, we are living in a world where one moment you are laughing, and in a blink of an eye you wind up either dead or in the hospital due to random gun violence. US leads amongst all the developed nations in mass murder due to gun violence and gun abuse. Between 1976 and 2012, most high-income countries did not experience a single shooting. The U.S. witnessed 16 shootings involving 7 or more fatalities, resulting in 241 deaths, more than all the other developed countries combined.…

No matter how many laws you make, or even if they ban guns, they will always be and issue that we can’t escape from. Guns have been part of the American culture for to long to just take them away. Many different turning points for the worse in gun related violence could be stopped by concealed carry. Gang violence would lessen with just more restrictions on who can own a firearm and possess one, that is simply just our government paying more money into stopping the weapons from getting into the wrong hands. I also covered why semi automatic weapons are a good thing and aren’t just for the worst cases, a person with the intent to kill will still kill, regardless of the rounds he is able to fire in a certain amount of time. The point of this whole essay is to get through to people that criminals don’t listen to laws, but law-abiding citizens do. My hope is that this essay changed you point of view for the better, and that you now understand that guns are not such a bad thing after all. Like Justin Moore says in his song “Guns”, as long as I’m alive, they won’t take my…

The problem being crimes committed using fire arms. What the Government fails to recognize is that criminals do not abide by the laws, taking weapons away from law abiding citizen will only give the criminals more means to do harm. There is a law against braking and entering but criminals still do it. There is a Law against stealing, yet criminals still continue to steal. So what will taking guns away from Law abiding citizens do? Absolutely nothing other than make citizens more vulnerable to the criminals. While a study was found between 1980 and 2009, shows the States with restrictions on carrying concealed fire arms had higher gun-related murders(ProCon #2). This will also be the first and only Law that amplifies the problem rather than helping. If criminals want to have guns they will find a way to get them. Taking away legally owned guns does not get rid of the illegally owned guns. The Gun Control Law will give criminals the upper hand, they will be more likely to shoot innocent people to get why they want, expectably know there will not be bullet fired back at them. The reason Gun control has not affect on murders is because the killing is not being done people with legally owned…
