Gun Control Project Analysis

An indepth project such as The Connecting the Branches on Gun Control, required a great amount of time and effort. As the project progressed I learn a lot, not only on the subject I was studying and reporting on, but also how to find a use useful information pertaining to the hot button topic of Gun Control in America. Firstly, I feel as though it is important to know that I went into this project with a fairly extensive amount of knowledge on the topic, and fairly well established beliefs pertaining to guns. While, I still completely believe in expanding legislation on gun control. To have a well-rounded project it was crucial to research all information, not just articles and reports that take a more liberal stance on the topic.
Throughout the weeks dedicated to creating this project I have accumulated some tricks and strategies for finding good information in the vast and overwhelming sea of knowledge provided through the internet. The World Wide Web is obviously a key and vital resource for this project, however there is a staggering amount of articles and websites to navigate. Finding proper facts and statistics can sometimes feel like hunting for a needle in a haystack.
However, some were certainly more helpful than others. I found the website Open Secrets not only extremely informative, but also very interesting. I did not use it on many particular slides of my presentation, but for getting an overall understand of the involvement of groups and how they interact with the government, including lobbying. This site was extraordinarily helpful. On the Issues, while simplistic and modest in appearance, also has a great expanse of information of virtually all major politicians on practically all topics. I would highly recommend this site for anyone searching for information about a certain person on certain subject, but not as broad conceptual
