Guilt In Tell Tale-Heart By Edgar Allen Poe

Guilt, a feeling of having done wrong or failed in a oblignation. The guilty must confess somehow or be consumed by his/her conscience. In Tell Tale-Heart, Edgar Allen Poe presents the idea that guilt can lead to confession because the narrator amited to the murder based on the beating heart. It felt like the beating heart was a sign to the narrator that he done something wrong. So when the police was asking questions about the old man murder, the narrator didn’t have any other choice but to confess about the murder because of guilt.
