1. Look back on John’s Newspaper advertisement.
a. Critique his advertisement. What was wrong with his ad? Explain clearly why those factors you have identified are considered as errors and link those errors with its effects/consequences in the recruitment process.
There’s only one thing that is wrong on his ad, his ad is too broad it should be narrowed down. Having a broad kind of ad inspires lots of applicants, applicants who are both qualified and not qualified for the job. With this massive number of applicants, the sorting will be difficult and time consuming.
Another is not posting that there was an application form for the participants; this mistake can result to re-contact all the applicants to fill up the application form. This is a tiring and time consuming job to do.
b. If you were to redo the ad, what changes would you do? Show these changes in a sample ad and explain the reason behind the changes. Explain As well why your ad would work better in terms of finding the most suitable candidate for the position.

All the qualifications stated above are the minimum qualifications for the participants that are essential for the job and can help the personnel in sorting the qualified participants.
Having background knowledge to the product a salesperson sale is essential for the compliance of the customer’s satisfaction.
Mature sales personnel can work under pressure.
Having a skill in arithmetic is also essential, in order to evaluate the prices as well as the payment of the customers.
Communication is needed in this job, the better the communication skills the better the job performance and can provide satisfaction to the customers.
In order to be realistic in selling sports materials, sales personnel should not be physically impaired.
Sales personnel works with people, they are the one who entertain the customers. Having a pleasing personality can boost the company’s reputation and can attract more customers.
