Group Coordination
Can a group of people function effectively without someone being in charge? I believe that a group of people cannot function effectively without someone being in charge. There are 2 main points. A leader is someone who gathers the group together, and allows the group work more efficiently. I believe that a group leader is supposed to be a role model for the whole group, someone that everyone follows. If a group didn’t have a leader, the group would be scattered. Firstly, a leader is responsible for organising the group together so that they will coordinate with each other in a sensible way; the leader of the group makes the group function effectively and efficiently. If, for instance, a group didn’t have a leader, they would have no one to follow, and they would most likely not do work and procrastinate. Having someone to follow is crucial to a group.
Having a group leader is important because the leader is normally someone with authority. If a group didn’t have a leader, they would all be the same level in class and most possibly not listen to each other. They won’t respect each other as much as they would respect a leader because they have the same identity. For example, imagine a classroom full of students. In this case, the group leader is the teacher. If the teacher left the classroom, surely everyone would be playing around and not doing work. But if the teacher was there, everyone would behave because the teacher holds the respect from their students. I believe that a group of people functions better with someone being in charge because a leader keeps the group together, they all hold respect towards the leader and the leader allows everyone to function efficiently and effectively. Next time you organise an event, be sure to include a leader.

Leadership has been important throughout human history. But why is leadership makes it so important? There are many answers to that question. First of all, mankind has always needed leaders. Without leaders, this world would not be able to function properly. Second, leaders have an influence on people, may it be good or bad. The choices that a leader makes can leave an impact on people to do something that the said leader believes in. Third, leaders have a big impact on the outcome of the future of society. The leader could decide to choose a way to settle a matter, whether it is good or bad, and those choices could lead to either the destruction or growth of a nation.…

The leader's role is to motivate, coach, and navigate the followers through the job they are working at to finish. A leader that can inspire, successfully mentor, and get the team to their goal, is an effective leader. Each team requires a different balance of the three roles the leader should fulfill to reach their full productivity potential. For example, if there is a leader who is amazing at navigating his team, but is unable to motivate and coach them through the issue, then the team will fail; but if a leader is able to motivate, coach, and navigate their team, then their team will be…

Being a leader for a large group means more than just a title. As co-drum major of my high school marching band, I had to use leadership to help the group has had to overcome. The title bears numerous responsibilities and in various styles, but choosing to lead by example while having a sense of humor has shown as the most effective way of leading for me. Performing as a marching band requires lots of dedication and hard work; however, when the group starts lacking in motivation to progress, a leader must step in. For the group to overcome these issues,we had to get together and discuss what was keeping the group from progressing. Leading by example is not enough for a group to follow, sometimes it requires actual action as well. I use my sense…

It goes without saying that human beings couldn’t have achieved what they have achieved if they had not worked in groups. Teamwork is probably one of the most important “inventions” of mankind which does not get explicitly mentioned when one refers about the tools and evolution of human beings from the pre-historic times. None of the magnificent creations of human beings we see today could have been possibly achieved without humans coming in teams and working for a common goal. Teams by themselves cannot be successful if they do not have a clear direction or vision. The team is bound to fail in achieving the results if there is no coordination, synchronisation and communication between team members. The concept of team itself comes into existence only because of the arising of a necessity or a goal that would benefit the society, and the means to achieve it cannot be implemented by an individual, however able and skilful he or she may be. Members of the team can be of extremely different personalities, skills and characteristics and every member has his/her own ideas on how to achieve the common goal. It is precisely at this point that the need for a leader arises. What is required is a leader who can channel the necessary skills from the team members towards the common goal and maintain the harmony and coordination between them at the same time. Numerous theories have been postulated on how a leader should be and what the characteristics of the leader should be. Some theories hypothesised that leaders cannot be made…

In my opinion, leadership is more than just someone who can enlist the aid of others to accomplish a specific task. It is a characteristic and a lifestyle of a person. True leadership is not displayed on days we feel like it. It is a constant display of ones actions to accomplish tasks and set an example for others to emulate. A leader is someone who can be turned to in the absence of knowledge or direction and will either have the answer or know where to get the answer.…

My third reason is, don’t be a selfish and disrespectful leader. If you are disrespectful and nobody likes you then nobody will follow you and take of what you say. If your selfish, then nobody will feel the need to be there and they won’t think of you as leader. Leadership is an important role in most, if not in all communities, families, and/or school. The role of a leader is that of a strong individual who looks at the big picture, who is goal oriented, and who is driven by a cause. In the community and family I am involved in, I take on the leader role. The management I provide has made a positive difference in the lives of others, including - but not limited to - my family and school courses. My leadership and services have made a major impact on my nine year old brother and fourteen year old cousins.…
