Greg Abbott's Responsibilities
Greg Abbott

Greg Abbott is the 48th governor of Texas. Greg Abbott was born in November 13, 1957 in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was educated at Vanderbilt University Law School and the University of Texas at Austin. His wife’s name is Cecilia Abbott. They have been married for 35 years and share a daughter. He is affiliated with the Republican Party. Abbott being born in Texas gives little to no effect on his political ideology. Texas is a Democratic state yet his views bleed red. He was previously in office as the Texas Attorney General from 2002 to 2015 (Governor). His vision for Texas is sturdy and fixated on generating additional jobs and opportunities. He plans to look over the education system and review transportation organization along

He aims to increase transparency by empowering Texans with information and transparency. Abbott believes that a public government is the basis of a permitted civilization. Looking back towards the past, Texas has had the fiercest open government decrees in the United States. Those laws allowed for the people to know what their government was up to and if the government was making a positive impact. Greg Abbott received an award in 2005 due to his commitment to an exposed government. An example of this was when he decided to support bills that bring the Open Meetings Act back into today’s society. His development is insured by his chase to a firmer oversight of public income funds in order to defend taxpayers and retirees. He began to advise the income boards to not allow managers to work for businesses that demand a registration for actuaries. Abbott thinks that in order to stay away from taxpayer bailouts, strong public income funds are a must (Abbott).
Greg Abbott will safeguard Texas consumers by protecting Texans from fraudulent and illegal practices. The office of the attorney general implemented Texas statutes to guard Texas consumers because of the cons that showed trade practices. Disasters such as cost extorting and phony charity solicitations have caused Abbott to be assertive at counteracting such disasters (Abbott).

The principle of state sovereignty has a profound effect on the promotion and maintenance of world order, however, nations still abuse its immense power to disrupt the protection of human rights. State Sovereignty is the ultimate law-making power of a state. It is the ability of a state to govern within its own borders without external influence/interference. However, state sovereignty is quite ambiguous, it is both a barrier and a vehicle for the promotion and maintenance of world order. Countries with strong legal systems might use their sovereignty to prevent/ prosecute human rights offences. For instance, Australia has used its sovereignty to create the Criminal Code Act 1995, which prohibits sexual servitude. Though It can be used by governments…

The Roundtable discussion made it apparent that Australian federalism is dysfunctional and needed shaping up. The reasons included a combination of external and internal factors and pressures. The pragmatic reform process could address these factors and pressures to improve Commonwealth-State relations. This could achieve enhanced policy outcomes for the Australian community and provide a system of government that “delivers the Australian people the opportunities they deserve” (Brumby 2008).…

In Canada's government the head of it all is the prime minister. The prime minister has the role of leading the political party in charge of the country and has the role of making laws and defines the policies of their political party. Our hearts have similar roles to the prime minister. What they do is send blood around your body. The blood provides your body with the oxygen and nutrients it needs. Canada's prime minister is like a heart because he/she has a role in all branches of the government (Legislative, Executive, Judicial). In the same way the heart controls all parts of the body pumping blood to the places the body needs it.…
