Introduction
The Green Sea Turtle is endangered. They are also cold blooded. Green Sea Turtles have a scientific name called the Cheonia Mydas. Would you think the shell is green? It’s the fat it’s green if you were wondering. These turtles are types of turtles that eat meat and plants. They are called omnivores.
Description
Did you know these turtles have four flippers two in the front and two in back? They use the front two flippers to help them swim. They use the back two flippers to dig a hole to lay their eggs. Green Sea Turtles are reptiles, reptiles have dry scaly skin and lay eggs that are soft shelled. You probably know these turtles are slow on land but green sea turtles can go twenty miles per hour underwater. Usually the turtles shell measures thirty to forty seven inches. The shell isn’t green its either olive, brown, or black.
Green sea turtles take about forty nine to seventy days to hatch when they do they do it all together. These turtles lay egg clutches. About one hundred eggs are in a clutch. There is one to seven clutches in a season. This turtle when it’s done laying its eggs it goes back to the ocean. It may never see its babies
