Abstract
The Green River Killer which normally flows from Washington State and empties into Puget Sea in Seattle. Gary Ridgway was the mastermind behind the slayings of prostitutes and runaways who were found missing in Seattle. The victims that he raped and strangled were found in or near the banks of the green river which was located south of Seattle. That is how Gary Ridgway got the infamous tittle the “Green River Killer”. Police and investigators found the remains of some of his victims Near Pacific Northwest Ravines along the freeways and also in the rivers. They discovered 49 bodies and they were all listed as propbable Victims of the Green River Killer. Between the 1970’s-1980’s the Green River Killer would lure prostitutes, Young woman, and runaways into his truck that he then drove and would force sex upon them. If they denied or even accepted he would strangle them and then dump their bodies. The bodies that he dumped along the railroad tracks, rivers, ravines, and freeways he called “clusters”. Gary Ridgway explained to authorities that he did this because he liked to keep track of the all the pretty woman he killed over the years. Sometimes his victims laid there for days, years, or maybe even decades until their bodies were discovered. He would occasionally drive through the county just to see the woman he had placed there and sometimes he would have sex with their expired corpse
In 1982 6 bodies were recovered near or inside the river. The victims that he raped were known prostitutes who were strangled and raped. Polices and detectives focused their attention on an area called Sea-tac strip which was a place for prostitutes to hang out and then they started to disappear. Towards the end of 1960 the body count of the missing woman rose to 40, and the police believed that they all were murdered by the Green River Killer. The
