Great White Sharks
Do you know the incredible creature that can smell blood in the water up to 3 miles away! It is the Great White Shark. In this paper I will be discussing 3 major topics about Great White Sharks. The topics are hunting, characteristics, and survival. These topics not only tie together why Great White Sharks are such fierce and intelligent predator, but more importantly why they are the ruler of the ocean.

The ocean is home to the most deadliest creatures. There is plenty of deadly creatures that we do not even know about. So how does the Great White survive? “The only known animal to prey on a great white is an Orca whale”(Sherman). That is really good considering how many species are out there. Also, Great Whites can eat a meal and then go three months without eating at all. This is a survival trait that Great Whites have developed. It makes sure that if they are having trouble finding food, they will still have three months before they need to eat again. So it is not very common for them to starve to death.
Examining my research has showed me that Great White Sharks are the ruler of the Ocean. They are one of the best hunters in the ocean that outsmart all of their prey. They have so many cool characteristics that make them so unique and give them advantages like speed and detection. They also have really good surviving tactics that make them less vulnerable to predators in the harsh ocean. If we had more information about the ocean maybe it might be different.
