Graduation Speech: Stone Lab Field Trip
Thank you so much for coming to Stone Lab with my classmates and me. I know how much you gave up to be with us, and I appreciate everything you did to try and make the trip enjoyable after everything went downhill. I can’t thank you enough for not only giving up your time, but the comfort of your own bed to take us on a field trip, even if it didn’t go as planned. I still remember when we were on the boat back to the main island, and you were able to make my friend and me laugh when we were chilly and wet. Thanks again for everything you did on the Stone Lab field trip.

First of all, you were probably the funniest/most entertaining teacher I have ever had throughout my elementary and secondary education. I thoroughly enjoyed coming to your class. You made learning lots of fun. Your students became apart of your lectures so many times it was like we was living the history you were teaching. You have a lot of passion for your job, teaching us and personally made me want to give the same amount of effort…

Thank you for your teaching skills and for the enthusiastic environment that you created in the seminar. Without your excellent skills and knowledge, those classes would be impossible. Most especially I would like to thank our principal, Mrs. Lowe, for making our school a wonderful place to be and a national school to watch. We wish you the best of luck wherever you may go. It has gone so incredibly fast. I can honestly say that I am going to miss this class. I am not going to miss the drive to Collinsville, though. I feel that I have grown a great bit while making my way through this Cross Cultural cluster. I never once dreaded having to work all day and then having to go to class and sit for four hours. My classmates are great. As a class, we always made it fun and entertaining. I do hope that I am blessed with having them in class with the rest of my journey seeking my bachelor’s degree. I have plenty of class left to conquer. Lastly, thank you, Professor Anderson! You made this cluster to be unlike any that I have experienced thus far. You made me feel comfortable from day one. I am a real big fan of your spontaneousness and flexibility. You could really feel your passion each night we met. You could tell you wanted to be there teaching us. Again, thank you. And, it would bring me great joy to have you again as my…

This is strange that I am writing this letter, but, if we are being honest, it was an easy decision to write it to you. You have watched me grow from awkward, uncomfortable freshman to awkward and quite possibly more uncomfortable senior. However, I am putting that discomfort aside for this single letter so that I am able to finally thank you for all that you have done for me.…

Imagine… you are getting all dressed up for that big day. You get anxious and scared because it’s the graduation for eighth grade. You get all dressed up and put on your gown and cap. Then you arrive at the school. You sit in the assigned seat and watch the children before you get up and shake hands. You feel your hands get clammy as you wait. You wait till you hear your name and realize that it’s your time to shine. You stand up and hear the creaking of the harwood on your shoes. Then you feel your hands and wipe them down, but when you get up there you shine like a supernova. Everyone's eyes are on you. You realize that it’s your time to show who you are and time to reflect on your legacy here. A legacy is what you leave behind for people…

Since leaving school today I have realized that my decisions can truly change your life in less than a minute. I would like to apologize to the entire Mother McAuley administration team, I know that my behavior did not depict the type of student I have worked extremely hard to become, and that you all had to take time out of your day to deal with the situation. To Mrs.McCormick and Mrs.Wilson I apologize for putting their lives and jobs in jeopardy. I have not only disappointed you all , but my family especially my mother.…
