Graduation Speech: Journey To The Smoke
Good evening Tally Youngblood, so where do you think you would have ended up if the Rangers or also known as Bug Eyes didn’t give you a ride to the Smoke?

Honestly if the rangers would have gave me a ride I do believe that i would have found my own way to The Smoke. I feel that way because for one I was already over halfway there but also most importantly as the farther I ventured the more I was thinking like Shay. And if I was thinking like shay then I would have arrived at The Smoke in no time because Shay wrote the directions in her way of thinking. Also it would have obviously took me longer to get to The Smoke because walking take a while compared to flying. So therefore Special Circumstances would have beat me there or becoming shortly after I arrived and I would not have had the chance to meet everyone and explain my appearance.

How much do you think you truly mean to Peris after he turned pretty? Also do you feel as if you over thought how much you actually liked Peris relevant to meeting Shay and the Smokies?

Peris seemed to have changed a little bit since the operation but that is most likely only because he had meant new people in New Pretty Town. But, when I went to visit Peris I was only a super conversation because he didn't

Cable would have traveled with me to The Smoke i would have played it cool. For example, i would have tried to solve to riddles naturally but maybe taking a little bit more time up. But for my escape plan i would think about my plan to run away to The Smoke during our daily hikes. But i would try to solve as many riddles a night and memorize them so i could have them beforehand so i could put my runaway plan in action. Finally, the one night when we stopped to get some rest and i had all the remanding riddles solved in my head. I would quietly sneak away in mid night when Dr. Cable is in deep sleep. So by the time he wakes up i'll be gone and he would have no way of finding The Smoke without the directions from

When we reached the Blue Mountains, we were all faced with a big problem, the whole trail was covered in fallen trees and big bushes. And that wasn't the only problem, they were also pretty steep. For four days we spent cutting the bushes down, and moving all the fallen trees. On the fifth day we were finally able to travel up the hills, everyone made it up. The only thing that we had to watch was just to go slow and not to stop, and also to stay on the train because if you got off, you could fall down the wagon. We went one at a time and after a while everyone got up the steep hills. When we got to Whitman Mission, we felt pretty good, but really tired of traveling by wagon, and walking. We were looking forward to just getting to Oregon.…

Perseus stands rigidly, looking at the head of Medusa. His expression is unchanged. One leg bends toward her head, but it does so in a rigid, uncomfortable manner. He holds his sword out on his right, and her head on his left. Fabric is draped unnaturally off his left arm and it falls to the floor behind him. He has the ideal body, with perfectly sculpted and toned muscles. Perseus is naked, save a pair of very decorative and ornate sandals. His body is in a curve, with his spine. He appears to be a warrior, and he is triumphant in his defeat of Medusa. A feeling of pride overwhelms one when they look at him, however, it is hard to relate to him, because he does not feel real. He is humanized, but does not appear natural or normal.…

One thing people have always told me is that I remind them of the person Randall Cobb from the book game changers. He has one of the most creative and unique personalities. He is passionate for the game of basketball by working hard on his time. Randall is also talented in the subjects math and science by pushing himself to make good grades. He also thrives to help people even if it's with school work, personal problems, or on the basketball court. All in all he was almost exact the same person as I am he likes basketball, he helps others, and he does well in school.…

We started walking through some woods, pretty calm and peaceful. I saw some deers go by, but my attention went to some other guys. While I didn’t know at the time, these were some criminals who were wanted by yours truly. The guards ended up getting into a fight with them, and I would’ve run away, except one guard was keeping watch on me. After a while, they ended up killing the crooks, and 2 guards wound up dead. Throughout her story, Perpetua receives many cryptic visions which she needs to decipher. All of the visions are laced with symbolic meanings, creating insight into her plight. For instance, after she has the vision of fighting with, and defeating the Egyptian, Perpetua comes to the definitive conclusion that she, “…should not fight with beasts but with the Devil; but I knew the victory to be mine” (Musurillo 73). The significance of her visions are all faith driven since she strongly believes the Lord is providing her with a path to follow. Another interesting symbolic moment involves the vision of seeing her deceased brother, Dinocrates. In her vision she recognizes that her brother is in trouble, almost as if his soul needs to be saved…

I quickly ran the fastest as I could, finding a hiding spot, like a bunny would do as if it was being chased by something. I ran back into the woods, making eye contact with the raccoons as I ran. I made a slight turn to the nearest tree, and hoped the rabid raccoons wouldn't find me. I saw them keep on running in the direction that they were chasing me before. I couldn't see anything still, but all I saw was the bright, burning hot sun, rising. I knew it was going to take a while for the sun to rise completely, maybe 4 or 6 hours, I wasn't sure. But what I did know is that I had to find my way out of here for sure. It was still dark, but the clouds were cloudy as if everything was still dark. I started running back to the bridge. I heard tiny…

There was no visible light out. It was calm out tonight; mid night dew still fresh on my boots. The smell of fresh pine covered the bare spot of the forest I was now camped in. It was time to break camp; camping too long in one spot could give away my posion. I quickly put away the rest of the salted pork in my left leg pocket and mounted my gun on my right shoulder. I started to stand up, but very slowly as to not alert a fly. I finally reach mid standing (not quite standing, but not quite crouching.) I slowly creep forward, listening to every sound that I wasn't making. I crept slowly to the giant oak just one hundred feet east of my camp. It was still very early, and very dark. I finally made it to the oak and doing one more last check, I finally stood erect, confident that no one was around. As I started to head north of the oak, I placed the gun on my back and felt relived to not be on the look out for once. I began to do a slight jog. Fresh, crisp air began to fill my lungs, something that came to a nice surprise to my worn muscles.…

“Life is too short” and “ you only live once” are phrases you always hear from your parents, grandparents and other people whenever they come up with those boring ‘in my day’ stories, aren’t they? So why waste the one life you get, and shorten the already too short with the expensive, pointless and revolting habit of smoking? Smoking is the habit that I consider to be pointless, a waste of money and dangerous to your health and social life. Smoking really is the one thing I loathe and with it causing a staggering 110,000 unnecessary premature deaths a year I strongly believe it should be banished to room 101 eternally.…
