The gorilla is the largest great ape. They have two scientific names, which is gorilla gorilla and gorilla beringei. They are also divided into four subspecies, which are western lowland gorilla, cross-river gorilla, eastern lowland gorilla, and mountain gorilla. The sex of a gorilla is easily determined by their size; usually the males are twice as heavy and big as the females (Regenstein Center for Great apes – Exhibit). They also have a quadruped, brachiator and terrestrial locomotion. They also have grasping hands and feet just like other monkeys, but no sign of a tail. Their exhibit is mainly a huge chunk of ground, not much trees; they also have an exhibit outdoors. One habit that I noticed about chimpanzees is that they take their nest wherever they go. Furthermore, chimps are known to be good at using tools.
