Goodwin College Class Reflection
Over the time, I have been at Goodwin College I had a wonderful learning experience. Goodwin College Classes hours and scheduling has allowed me to work a full time job. The professor I had so far has been good to me and help me when I needed it. All of the courses I took at Goodwin College the only course I really had a hard time with was math.
This fall semester I am taking five classes. One of those five classes I am having a hard time because the textbook and exams are hard for me. I have a difficult time studying for large exams where I have to study a lot of information. The four other classes I am taking I believe that I am doing well in and I haven't have any problems. The one thing that I did have a hard with also is having many research papers to type and studying for like four exams at a time. My impressions of the work I has did this semester is good, not

I have a hard to staying on campus and asking for some help with my writing or essay. I rather reread and do everything myself. The main thing I struggle with is exam, studying for exam and starting my research papers. I know I can improve this by finding a way to relax my mind with studying for exam and finding out what is the best way to study for me. The most three important things I have learned about myself since taking courses at Goodwin College is that this isn't high school anymore, I'm not going to have that one teacher to write what I need to know for exams. That I need to be more focus on studying for exams and finding what's the best way for me to do. That I am a really good writer when I have all my ideas and things plan out before writing. Also, Once I am focus on the school assessment or homework I am able to get it done when it needs to be done. Also, learn that I have a lot of distracted that I need to work

I had some challenges in the first semester. I realized that it gets harder every year. I felt like ninth grade was a bit easier than this year. The final for English was easy. There were only two questions. We took a final for the novel, To Kill A Mockingbird. My goal is to have good grades, but also pass every class so that I don’t have to retake any. I want to be able to graduate on time. It always gets hard when almost end of the semester. That is the time when teachers start to give out more work. It’s a good idea but the same time bad. It can help bring grades up for some people. Most people are lazy so they rather not do it and fail the semester. My challenge was trying to focus with so many distractions in the way.…

In high school, I always considered myself a good student. I payed attention in class, took notes, and genuinely took interest in my education. As a college student, I have tried to do the same thing. Of course, college is not quite the same as high school, and I have not always gotten the near-perfect results I used to expect. While I am working on my perfectionism as a separate issue, I am glad to take this opportunity to learn more about how to succeed in college. Three strategies I learned in this chapter include how to better prepare before class, how to review after class, and how to improve my note-taking strategies.…

I know coming right into college will be challenging for me. One of my challenges that I face is that I have ADHD which means that I lose focus very easily, when I hear noises it takes my focus off my work so its hard to stay on task and even harder to get back on task. Another one of my challenges is that I am a athlete, I play soccer and I also have to train for when I transfer to CNU to run cross country and track for the school. Also I tend to procrastinate, I like to put things off until the last second and that is not a good habit, I know in college if I do that its…

Arguably the most important skill that I have learned is that it is essential to plan my essays. Prior to this class, I would just write all of my thoughts down without creating an outline. After that, I would just briefly proofread my essay and that was my final copy. Now, I make sure I spend a decent amount of time on an outline and make it incredibly detailed so that my thoughts are all in line with each other and overall, the essay makes sense. Then, I will read over my rough draft multiple times and have other people proofread it as well, just to make sure that it makes sense and is as clear as it can be. My papers went from taking less than an hour to write to taking 2 or 3 hours at the least.…

Coming to college was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Not only has it matured me but it has also taught me things about myself that I never knew. Not only is it a new experience, but an entirely different atmosphere from the high school life. My first semester here at North Carolina Central University was overwhelming. I found myself being busier than I’ve ever been. But, it was all for the good. I learned how to be productive and manage my time more effectively.…

One benefit of attending college is by learning to think critically and communicate better. For instance, my reading and vocabulary skills have increased tremendously since being in school this fall semester. I challenge myself every day for 30 minutes to read something. More than half of the vocabulary that we discuss in class, I try to associate that with my daily conversations. I find it fascinating that I’m learning to expand my thinking and put words together to explain my story. Sometimes when I’m using my words, people as me the meaning of them, and that says a lot about capabilities.…
