Good Life Song Analysis
Throughout everyone’s lives, people will find songs that remind them of special events, people, or things. High school, for me, was full of struggles and many lessons. Within the past four years I found songs that reminded me of important occurences. Some of these songs I never had expected to relate to until I sat and wrapped my head around the true meaning of its lyrics. Time, as everyone suggested, did fly by. Hardships were fought through and I overcame them with exceptional moments and people who I surrounded myself with. The words within the following songs, “Don’t Blink”, “I Got a Feeling”, and “Good Life”, all disclose important relations to my life all through the last fairly short years. “Don’t Blink”, by Kenny Chesney, is a sentimental song about how growing up goes by in a blink of an eye. Hence the title of the song, it seems like yesterday I was a freshman ready to start a brand new school. Little did I know time would fly and numerous changes would be made to my life. Overall, the song gives a sense of memorial towards …show more content…
The song puts off a “feel good” sense and mentions making the most of their night. There were numerous times we had listened to it in the car on a trip to buy groceries or a road trip to other places. This song allowed me to think about positive memories I had with her through my freshman to sophomore year. Whenever the song comes on the radio, it helps to recollect the pleasant moments I had with her before her passing. Living life to the fullest is important and these particular song motivates me to prosper every day I am living. My mom’s passing was fairly upsetting and made a great impact upon my family throughout the end of my junior year, but this Black Eyed Peas song has brought some brighter thoughts to the surface. The lyrics are somewhat simple, but the music itself allows me to refer back to happier

And I was a High School Musical fan at some point. I’ll still sing to this song when it is played as it is a great song. The tune and is upbeat and the lyrics are very catchy. Not only that, it is super fun to sing along to, especially with my friends. The song hypes me up for the summer as it promises more sleep, parties, and no school. It talks about all the fun parts about summer that I can’t wait for. I can relate to the lyrics as it describes most of my past summers. The song would perfectly describe my feeling on the last day of school as it is of relief that school has ended and summer has…

The breakfast club has one of the most unique and memorable soundtracks of all time. Something that made the movie gave it such a memorable track and the movies “theme song”, "Don't You (Forget About Me)" by the band Simple minds. Something that the movie did that not none to many movies had done at that point. They used this song twice, once at the beginning at once at the end. The two times this song is played in this movie, each function is shown. It shows genre because the movie was release in 1985 and this is around the time new wave music (the song’s genre) became popular. It sets the mood both at the beginning and at the end of the movie. It sets mood at the beginning because of the tempo and rhythm makes…

All though my parents never got a divorce I feel a connection with different pieces of the song and I thoroughly enjoyed the way he expressed his emotions throughout the song in words I would have never thought of using. The song is very vocal with a quite instrumental background that ties it all together, he uses so much emotion and power in his singing that it’s hard not to feel the same emotions he is feeling in this song. He talks about his parents fighting and him trying to keep them together which I feel like most children have tried to do when their parents are fighting.…

There is a certain pain that is felt whenever a loved one passes. Beyond sadness, it is hurt, it is anger, it is confusion, and an almost unidentifiable emptiness where the lungs should be. People who have not experienced such loss have a happy, if hazy, view of the world. Then, there are those who lose someone… a major someone... so very special. They do eventually move on, but the pain alters them forever. Ed Sheeran, in the song “Afire Love,” illustrates how the loss of an individual can impact everyone around them, young and old.…

The instrumentation of this scene will remain quite simple with bluesy instruments, including an acoustic guitar, harmonica, symbols and drums. The tonality will stay major creating a calming, happy emotion. I intend to convey that this is leading to a happy moment, not necessarily a goodbye, instead the music should invite the intention of a new beginning.…

“Talking shit about a pretty sunset,” is a song that portrays an overall apathetic outlook on life. At first my mom and dad tried to hide the divorce from us and lie about why one parent wasn't here when the other one was, and that really made an impact on me, but my brother doesn't remember much so it doesn't effect him like it does me. I was old enough to realize that something wasn't right only because I knew who they both really were on the inside and something was missing from them. This song represents a time in my life when my life was really hard and going downhill. I started failing tests and getting really low scores on our STAR tests. I believe that the hardest part for me was that they lied about everything because I will never forget that wether they know that or…

Backstory: Okay so there is actually a little story behind this meaningful song. Isaac Slade, the lead singer of the band attended a camp for troubled teens and he was a mentor there. At the camp, Slade met a boy who was dealing with a drug problem. This song is talking about all the people who tried to reach out to the boy but was unsuccessful. The people around the boy only knew how to say things like, “Quit taking drugs and cutting yourself or I won’t talk to you again.” The boy was losing his friends and was dealing with depression and they just didn’t realize that what the boy needed was a listening ear and a lot of moral support.…

Ralph has chosen this song as he loves it. It's a song he'd love to be able to play on guitar. Ralph has stated he loves to play his guitar. However he gets frustrated when he try's to play it on his own. He often has his guitar out when he is relaxing in the unit and has stated he wants to write a song about his mum. Ralph actually sung part of a song he had thought up. The lyrics were very warm towards his mum. However this song was very short and maybe if Ralph gets better at the guitar with these lessons he will be able to put a whole song together about his mum. This would be a very positive event as Ralph finds it very difficult to talk about his family at all.…
