The show follows the friends as they go through life dealing with relationship, employment and financial issues. This show is a classic 90s television show that is enjoyed by many today. All of the characters in Friends are different and have unique personalities, but they all have good chemistry and make a good friend group. Friends is a good show for a lot of reasons, I feel that it is a good show because it mixes a couple things. Friends is obviously a comedy so there are lots of jokes thrown into the show that are still good today. Friends does not only have comedy though there can also be drama and real life matters that are mixed into the show. This is good because it does not matter if you like comedy, drama, or romance you can get all of these things from Friends which makes it very enjoyable. …show more content…
The casting directors of this show hit the spot while casting. Every character on the show does an amazing job of convincing us that this is what they are like. The cast is more than perfect, although it could have been much different. Many great actors auditioned for different roles and Matthew Perry was almost not cast. Perry filmed the pilot for another show called L.A.X. 2194 a show about an airport. Thankfully this was unsuccessful because if not he would not have been on Friends. David Schwimmer also contributed to this amazing cast by accepting the roll Ross, a roll wrote for

Ken Tucker, would add in his review that “The vagueness of these characters is similar to the lack of concrete detail that makes many other sitcoms a headache-inducing bore. With Friends, however, this barely matters”. The reason that the lack of concrete details does not matter is because as the season continues so does the growth of the characters. Take Joey Tribbiani, the most outright sexually flaunting member of the group, taking the time to emotionally connect to a woman giving birth and supporting her with it, showing that he’s capable of growing beyond his frat boy…

Now, the differences are many. Seinfeld was based mainly on the material of a comedian named Jerry Seinfeld when Friends was based on the everyday lives of Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, Ross, Monica and Rachel, six friends who lived in New York City. The comedy of Seinfeld was largely about the small, everyday occurrences of life. Friends, on the other hand, tended to find humor in bizarre relationships and ridiculous situations. Friends had its moments of drama and sentiment. Seinfeld almost never took itself this seriously. In Seinfeld, the story lines were different every week and there wasn't much continuity from episode to episode. It was basically a show about nothing. And in Friends each episode featured stories involving all the characters. The characters also grew throughout the seasons of the show. There were babies born, marriages, divorces, career changes, etc. Seinfeld lasted 9 seasons while Friends lasted 10. The final episode of Friends reached 8.6 million views. At this point you could…

The word friend is a very familiar word among people. Some people take friends as being an advantage or others may take it as being a disadvantage. Most friendships start off on the right path, but some can end up for the worst. This leads to a friendship heading down a path of destruction. “I promise to go out of my way to see you as much as possible”, a promise we swore not to break after going our separate ways to high school. My best friend Marisa and I have been inseparable since the first day of kindergarten. Going to a very small Catholic school we all knew just about everyone there. Preschool through eighth grade there were a total of 140 kids with only one teacher per grade. My graduating class had only 24 students in the whole grade. Most of them, like me, had been there since kindergarten and are practically family. About all of my childhood memories, the good and the bad, were at that school with the most amazing friends I will ever have and whether it was complaining about mean teachers or not wanting to go to church they were always on my side. Now we see each other and keep in touch, but it’s just so weird not seeing their faces every day. Most of my friends, even my best friends, go to Marin Catholic. My brother went there and told me not to because he was miserable there, but don’t get me wrong they have a great education, just not the best teachers or the nicest students. Some of my friends like it, but most dread every moment they have to be there, like my best friend.…
