Golf Course Responsibilities
How Working has Taught Me Responsibility in Life For two and a half years, I have worked at a golf course, which goes by the name Tyrone Hills. A quote that I live by goes, “A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work” (Colin Powell). Working at a golf course has given me numerous benefits. For example, discounted golf equipment, and also free golf. But benefits are just a fraction of what you get while working at a golf course. Another important aspect of working at a golf course has been the responsibility that it gives me. I have learned what it has been like doing hard work. The next thing I have learned there is that making money has let me put little of my paycheck into a savings account, which has helped me with financial responsibility. And the last responsibility working at a golf course gives me is the ability to talk to other people confidently. One of the responsibilities I obtain at a golf course is doing hard work. I apply hard work to my life almost every day, whether it’s at my job or if I’m doing school work. …show more content…
A good example of my hard work ethic would be working on this essay. I’m not cramming it in at the last second like a decent amount of my classmates, it actually is not due for one more week. Therefore I am working on this essay a little bit every night so I don’t have to do it all in just one night. Another example of my hard work my job has taught me, has been to be sort of an overachiever. I might not be an overachiever all the time, but a good amount of the time I try to do more than what is asked. The reason for that is because there is no disadvantage to doing more work, if anything it could benefit

Being responsible plays a huge factor in my life. If people weren’t responsible, society wouldn’t be the way it is. Working at a multimillion dollar motorsports dealership requires my attention and responsibility to keep things moving smoothly, including getting the job done properly and in a timely manner. Efficiency is a key characteristic feature in me. When I have a task to complete I do what it takes to get it done. This includes figuring out what it takes and planning out how to accomplish it accordingly.…

Hard work will eventually pay off in the end.“A Success Story” an article in the Infotrac Newsstand claims that “hard work, patience and dedication helped [Muhammad Ayub of Wasa] become assistant director (legal) from a junior pump operator.” Always have optimism because one may think people do not notice what one does, but in fact, everyone notices whether one is putting effort or just going through the motions. Gladwell touches on how “We overlook just how large a role we all play--and by 'we' I mean society--in determining who makes it and who doesn't”(33).…

One of the basic tenets of life is that greater opportunities will appear to individuals that actively pursue and know how to recognize them. Since the majority of us do not have the luxury of being born into wealth or power, the choices that we make ultimately shape our successes in life. Adam Carolla begins by using examples to highlight the concepts of consistency and residual income. He explains that it is easier and more useful to understand how to sell something and continue selling it again and again as opposed to figuring out how to simply make a large amount of money. As a student that had performed poorly in high school, he worked a variety of jobs including carpet cleaner and boxing trainer before entering the media industry. Lacking a career support system, Carolla explains that it took him a long time to discover his path. The significance that he takes away from this lesson is the importance of “shooting for the stars” and finding a job that you can enjoy doing as a (pure) living.…

To reach this ladder of success, I‘ve developed my own methods of survival through peace, love, and positivity. Unlike that homeless man who survives on his own, I persevere through helping others who lost their hope or are simply driven by the fear of working hard. On my free time, I motivate younger classmen with this message with the intention of leading them down a pathway unlike those who make up our despairing community. My change of perspective opened up many doors which allowed me to become a role model and a captain of my cross country team. Although my community has affected my academics and home situations profoundly, I now have the strive on bettering my future and experience on how it feels to fail but not give…

I am a piece of the greatest sport of all time, and my goal is to bring enjoyment to all who play and watch this great game. I started my first day of practice in the heat of the day. My laces and leather were scorching from the summer sun as I lay on the turf. The players entered the field, and soon I was in the hands of the team’s starting quarterback. Through the day I was thrown high through the air and kicked repeatedly off the tee. The practice was tough for me, but I really enjoyed the action I got with the team.…
