Humans have an attention span less than that of goldfish. Although there are some benefits to the advanced technology that we have no, the increase of easily accessible technology has had an immense effect on people. The technologies that are readily available, such as laptops, smartphones, smartwatches, and televisions, have become easy distractions to adults and adolescents alike. There are many views as to if this effect is beneficial to the people or not, but there have been many studies conducted showing that it poorly affects people's ability to focus and complete work. This readily available technology distracts people and causes homework and work projects to be done with only half of a person’s focus, rather than their full attention.
