Going To The Olympics Analysis

In the image "Going to the Olympics," by Frank Romero, he used specific images to symbolize the city of Los Angeles. In the top of the painting we can observe a couple of men fighting and a horse. The two men fighting might represent the effort that the city has made to get where they are at this point, while the horse might represent the power that the people have when they're together. It also shows five cars, each with a heart above, which might mean all the missions in California and how lovely the people of California is.

In the image, we can infer that Romero's mood is proud of the success of the people. He is proud that the population of Los Angeles continue and work hard together. Those five cars with the heart above them
He has the right to protest for what they have done to the mural. The city needed to speak with the artist because he is the one that can decide what to do with his piece of art. Also, it would create an impact to the people of the city because the painting transmits to the people a sense of relaxation. The author decides what to do with his art. In my experience, as a person that draws, i did a drawing and a person came and paint over my drawing. It was not funny at all. So what I'm saying is that the artist won't like other people do the same thing that they did to me.

I disagree with the actions that the city took. They needed to talk with the artist to make an agreement about what they were planning to do with the mural. The fact that they didn't talk with him is the reason why Romero took action against the city of Los Angeles. Communication is what the world need to understand each other.

In conclusion, as the city of Los Angeles wake up to the fact that these murals like the one of Romero, make the city look more beautiful and full of life. People in the future will have something to be proud of and talk about with their children. So, let's appreciate the effort that these artists did to make the city look more beautiful than it
