To me, God has always helped in life through problems that I have faced. However, soldiers that are fighting for our country have kept God close to their fearless hearts. As General George Marshall said “Military power wins battles, but spiritual power wins wars.” I know in my heart that everyday and night God looks down from the heavens and blesses our soldiers who fight with courage. The least we can do is to thank you. You gave me a future, freedom of speech, and an education, and so many more things.…

What the United States flag means to me is freedom. I hear the stories of the people who have their whole life chosen for them in different countries. Which sounds absolutely horrifying to me. I enjoy being able to decide my future like what kind of job i'm going to have or what college I’m going to go to. I don’t want that taken away from me.The Flag also ensures me as much safety as possible. What I mean by that is we have so many people who risked their life and are risking their life right now to keep that flag standing. All those people who have died died to ensure that I and everyone else live free and that means the world to me.…

The flag symbolizes many different things to different people. Such as sacrifice, liberty, or even freedom. But every time I approach the flag, it reminds me of all of the soldiers who have fought to gain and maintain our freedom. One of the words I would use would be liberty because when I see the fifty stars and thirteen stripes on the flag I already know what they stand for. First the lines represent our first thirteen colonies, and the fifty stars represent the fifty states. There are even meanings to the colors too. For example the blue symbolizes justice and freedom. The red symbolizes honor and valor, and the white stands for purity.…

I agree with this statement one-hundred percent, because when growing up passing a house with a flag I would always say they support America. Now that I am older I see it as they have pride in where they live, in the country of the brave and the free. “After the horrible tragedy of September eleventh 2001, patriotism flourished, flags were everywhere.”(Hemphill) I believe patriotism should still rage and we should show full pride in our country, the freedoms we have are just not fully appreciated sometimes. But I do not in any way believe that desecration of the flag so be a right, or…

In the paper, I will be providing five faith flags. Sharing faith stories provides listeners an opportunity to start a spiritual conversation. For example, when someone expresses a need in their life and you may senses a natural opportunity to ask questions. Then, it may have an opportunity to share a story from your own life that tells how God helped you with a similar need. When you explain about faith flags, provide your listener with stories, use conversational language, don't preach, and most importantly explain how God is meeting your deepest inner needs.…
