Goals: Long Term Goal
What are goals? Goals are an aim or desired result that people devote to accomplish in their lives. Why are goals important to set? Goals are important to set because without goals, we have no purpose or direction in life, and the more goals we make, the more things that we can accomplish in life. When I was younger, I didn’t know how to do a push up, and I wanted to work to get to doing 40 push ups in one year. I started by making small goals, that eventually worked up to me doing 40 push ups right now. One of my new goals that I have made this year is to maintain a 3.75 G.P.A. or higher. My second (long term) goal that I am working hard for, is to have a clean record and to get good grades so I can join the army when I grow up. For this essay, I interviewed two “goals experts”, my mom and my dad to get advice so that I can have a successful year while working towards my long term goal. The main reason that I chose my first goal to maintain a 3.75 G.P.A. is because throughout my elementary year when I used to live in Georgia, my English was poor because I had just come from Korea. So my grades were usually B’s and sometimes I had an A. Why maintaining a 3.75 G.P.A. is very important to me is because my mom and my dad want me to get good grades, and I want to make them proud, so currently I am trying my best to get good notes down so that I can study for my tests, and do my homework daily. Another reasons why I am trying to get good grades at school is because on my football team for Pop Warner, they choose kids nationwide who have good grades to get an award called “Little Scholars”. If you get the award, Pop Warner sponsors you so that you do not have to pay for your season, and they give you a high school football scholarship. The long term goal that I made is I want to join the army through graduating West Point. The reason why I chose to maintain a 3.75 G.P.A., is because getting good grades ties in with going to West Point, because you need to be smart

Setting educational goals is an important part of your academic success, this will help us stay on track on what our educational goal is. A goal will not let me sidetrack if I keep repeating to myself what my goal is. I may write down my goal and follow the steps towards reaching it by reading it daily. My educational goal is to finish my criminal justice bachelor in 3 years and no more than that. I am also looking forward to an academic success goal which is getting a job that I enjoy and that pays me a lot more than what they pay me right now.…
