GMOs: The Good, the Bad, and the Facts A topic of controversy in the past couple of years has been genetically modified organisms or GMOs for short. Many people disagree on whether or not GMOs benefit or threatens society and whether or not they are actually harmful to the human body. In this essay, I will delve into the both sides of the argument as well as what exactly GMOs are. The first article is called The Truths About GMOs by Pamela Ronald. The article poses the benefits of GMOs. The author, Ronald, starts out with an anecdote about a woman, Moses, in Uganda that owns a banana farm. Moses goes out to her bananas one morning to discover that they have been ravished into a black, wilted mess. The bananas were affected by banana Xanthomonas
