To save fossil fuels from extinct and to minimize the usage of electricity & gasoline, it is needless to mention that there is an urgent need to harness every source of energy to safeguard Nations’ future. The energy saving / conservation ideas propogated by Energy Conservation Mission & NEDCAP have inspired and motivated us in Bhavan’s Vidyashram team to adopt the project “Conservation of Energy”. We planned our project till the month of April 2013 We made a comparative study of conservation of energy. We compared the electricity conservation at our residence and observed a reasonable saving in the monthly bills. In the School also observing No Power Day on Monday and Friday from 1st to 5th period in the morning session, we were able to save electricity consumption and reduce the monthly expenditure. There is a reasonable change in the monthly electricity consumption in the School. Even the student’s observed power saving in their residences and made a comparative study about monthly usage. Overall they tried to minimize the usage of energy. The students have tabulated and shown the conservation of energy through pictorial diagrams i.e bar graphs.
