In 1997 on July 15 he was gunned down in his south beach home in Miami Florida. Versaces Designs were very unique. He use asymmetrical designs in most of his garments. The first garment analyzed is the form fitted tube top dress. This dress was definitely draped because it is hugging every cure of the body. If it wasied Have been done in pattern. I don't think he would have achieved this. He eliminated The dart with princess sews form fitting style, and also the dress has gathers on the princess seams.

The second garment is the loose fitted skirt with a corset and a loose fitted coat. one Side of the coat is longer than the other. Gianni must have draped this otherwise he wouldn't have know how long he wants one side of the coat to be and now asymmetrical his line would look . The 3rd garment being analyzed is the along black dress. The back is again in a typical Versace feature asymmetric in the back. This was not very hard to drape all he had to do is drape everything so that it fit's the body perfectly.
