George Mason University: A Case Study

I would like to provide substantial information that explains my low grade point average at George Mason University. I enrolled in George Mason University in spring of 2014 as Criminology major and earned a GPA 2.75 for my first semester. During my transition from a community college to a university my son’s father left us. Mentally and financially I was not prepared for this setback to occur. Not to mention, I was later diagnosed with depression and needed to work full-time while juggling school. As a result of this incident my mother began to help with my son so I could focus on school.
