In my early years, I grew up in the Highlands of Kenya. A place with great Geological significance such as the Great Rift Valley, Hells gate and Mount Longonot. Recently in a documentary named ‘Earth the power of the planet' I came across a new theory which suggests that planet like ours might be very rare, it is called the rarer theory. It says simple life like bacteria may be common in the universe, but for complex life like plants and animals to evolve it requires an extra-ordinary sequence of events. This ever compelling subject is even expanding as far as for looking for evidence of water and life in Mars .This shows how modern and exciting the discipline of Geology is.
