Genre Analysis of the Flyer
A common phenomenon is that many businesses hiring students to distribute flyers in the campus to attract people. A flyer advertising the Mei Tuan take-out was distributed in the campus, the flyer contained pictures of meal and the introduction of food with a brief style and special genre. Because the effective genre used in the flyer, the business Mei Tuan is likely to attract customers to accomplish its particular purpose
The structure of the flyer and the concrete content give audiences a sense of relief. The flyer’s color is based on the blue and yellow. The background is blue and the framework is yellow. The contrast between blue and yellow makes the flyer lively. For the detail, the right side of the flyer

If the content of the flyer looks like true or fake, if the writer use more exaggerated modifiers to make the flyer not credible. Other content like pictures, the pictures are made by real food or deal by the PS software. Audiences have ability to distinguish the content of the flyer. So credibility strategy used in the genre will affect the result. The used of a rhetorically is conform to the content in the “Navigating Genre”, Kerry Dirk showed: “Carolyn Miller, a leading professor in the field of technical communication, argues that a rhetorically sound definition of genre must be centered...on the action it is used t accomplish(252)”. Actually the used of rhetorically strategies could help people to accomplish the goals, winning the audiences’ heart and credibility. The write uses rhetorical strategies to attract customs, from the opposite point of view, audiences influence the use of rhetorical strategies. The write wants to caught audiences’ eyes, he must try his best to design the flyer. And the emotion and credibility are the easiest and effective way to affect audiences to achieve the goals.     Firstly the color scheme suggests a lot about the narrative of the film. The fundamental colors used are black, white, orange and yellow. These are most likely used because they tend to stand out once they overlap. The black is very sharp and bright alongside the bright white background so it makes the written information stand out. Apart from this the colors are able to represent the film through the poster. As this is a still image it can almost make a first impression to the audience of the film. The film is represented as fun and bold. The connotations behind the use of the color yellow are very diverse but the main reason why yellow was used as part of the color scheme is the fact that the narrative follows the lives of bees. As Bees are usually yellow and black these colors are represented on the poster making it clear what the film is about, even though the main image would have possibly been able to convey this itself.
